Every year I religiously file my MEF...
Every year I wait for Bank Audit allotment..whther its Statutory or Concurrent..
And every year ZERO..
Category IV.. Proprietary CA Firm..
Sometimes I genuinely wonder where do small proprietary CA firms stand today???
We maintain the eligibility, complete the formalities, keep ourselves updated and wait for an opportunity..
But how does a small firm build Bank Audit experience if it never gets the opportunity in the first place???
There shd be some space in the system for smaller and proprietary CA firms too...

@rohitjain2021 All The Bank Statements Should Contain Same UPI Narration.
Rather Thank UPI ID, Statement Should Contain Name Of The Originator.
In The Era Of UPI & Digitalization, UPI Transaction Entry In Bank Statements Has Taken Up Everything. Really People are using UPI like anything.

I think Income tax department also using AI in TDS Return for Q1 😀

Interest paid with TDS for late payment, property disclosed and filed in TDS returns.

Still sending default notices for interest demand which already paid and disclosed.🙃

The finance bill 2026 has extended the due date for filing non-audit business return from 31st July to 31st August every year.

This will reduce Tax Audit work time as earlier we use to get two months to complete the Tax Audits which will now be reduced to 1 month. Keep in mind non functioning of Incometax portal and various glitches we are observing since new IT portal is launched.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has sent mails to all members asking for suggestions to be submitted with the government for the proposals in the Finance bill 2026.

You can use this opportunity to let the institute inform the government that the due date of Tax Audit should also be increased by a month, so that members get sufficient time to complete the Tax Audit work.

Last Date is 31.12.2025 For These below Deadlines

1) ROC Due Date - Portal not working

2) IT Revised Return Due Date - Orignal ITR not processed, So Revised cannot file

3) Foreign Assets - Even Taxpayer dont know details of ESOP/Stock, Hence not possible to Update

4) GSTR 9/9C - Not yet done due to Date Extend of ITR / Tax Audit, Very less time
