I’ve a GP friend now having to isolate due to Covid, the last of 2 left standing in their practice. Their staff are shredded due to Covid. That leaves one GP to manage 13,000 patients. This is what allowing uncontrolled infection to run rife does. Unsafe for patients and staff.
@ProfNoelFitz looking for reassurance! Our gorgeous rescue has undergone life changing emergency spinal surgery due to IVDD She went frm running around on Monday to now not able to walk. She is a young dog, that finally had a chance to live her best life. Will she ever recover?
@sainsburys i have still not received a refund for things I returned in an order delivered on 30th June. Does this mean the driver ( who was on the phone and couldn’t be bothered) didn’t process the refund?
Can we please start using the right word? It’s Dal or Daal not Dahl or Dhal. And pronounced like Th from That or This Read my post about here https://t.co/dPmuBmqWiF
So I’m not getting a vaccine next week - was feeling weird about why I’d been selected ahead of others so rang GP to check. Turns out they had my height as 6.2cm rather than 6 ft 2, giving me a BMI of 28,000 😂
@LauraLovesAle@teorstan@bencsmoke Completely sympathise! It’s not just you who struggles, I & many others I know struggle to keep on top of it all. You are certainly not rubbish! Just because you’re home, doesn’t mean you’re lazy, infact quite the contrary, you set far too high expectations...Be kind to yourself!
@bencsmoke The whole system was built for one person to work and be supported by another at home. A 40-hour week is not built for purpose in modern life, where most either live alone or in partnerships where both people work. Needs to be rethought so everyone can work if they need/want to.
Just got back into connectivity... distressing to see visuals of the flash floods in my home state Uttarakhand. Pray this be a wake-up call against unchecked, unsustainable development and deforestation. Climate change isn’t the future, it is happening nlw.
@parcelforce i was supposed to receive a parcel on Thursday but because of multiple issues at your end, involving the parcel going to the wrong depots, I am still waiting for a perishable delivery that was dispatched on Wednesday...Appalling service within London!
@ClareToHere @lloyd_market I don’t disagree with you, but it is up to the government to set out clear guidelines. This is not a lockdown like back in March/April 2020 which is why we are never going to see R number reduction like we saw then. People need to be told what to do, not left to interpret rules!
@ClareToHere @lloyd_market If coffee is ok to sell, so is masala chai IMO. There was no street food this weekend, just the dry goods, cakes, bread and veg.
@ClareToHere All essential food shopping is allowed though! Hot food wasn’t available @lloyd_market yesterday and they said they would be regulating how many peopl were allowed in etc.
We may be in lockdown but you’re not alone.

To add to my previous tweet, #Veganuary is a great launch pad for Plant-based products. A great place to start, and a great resource, almost a phone book of sorts all in one place! It’s what got me and many others I know introduced to a plant based diet.
I don’t think #Veganuary can be compared to something like dry January. One is an introduction to a compassionate lifestyle, the other is trying to moderate alcohol intake after possible overindulgence in the holiday season.
