Still grafting. Still struggling. Still going. @vpl88 had a little too much faith in with me with the red band (my little gutted face at the end of that set 🤦♀️). My progress is sloooooooow @base13fitness but I have moved on from just hanging for 30 seconds. Must keep going.
Am doing anything and everything coach tells me to in order to get to a pull up. “What’s this called then? Or did you just make it up to make me look stupid?”, “do you think you look stupid then?”, “yes, yes I think I probably do”. I don’t even care. I just want to do a pull up!
Away for two days and came home to a whole lotta progress. Roof is on and Velux windows arrive next week. It’s really coming together now. I’m feeling like the end is ever so slightly in sight 🥰
Did you ever play Mousetrap when you were younger? This is what I have to do to get high up enough to even attempt to hold myself at chin level with the bar 😆
This weather is making me soooooo happy! And I had a brilliant session at the gym. My back is lots better and I’m back up to 85kg on my deadlift, was going to up it 90kg but coach wisely talked me down. Slow and steady Nilly!
Nursing a very stiff lower back. Had to drop my deadlifts to 30kg, but up to 60kg. Am very grateful to still be able to move even though it’s not quite where I want to be
What a night, what a night! I like to think of myself as the hostess with the mostess, I seriously need to up my game! We were spoilt rotten last night 🥰
A satisfying week of training. Consistent sessions, hitting protein of 120g or more a day and getting steps in. Did a heavy deadlift session earlier in the week so this was lighter, 65kg, 4 sets of 10.
Progress towards pull ups continues. Started just hanging for 15 seconds. I’m now up to three sets of 10 knee raises. Swinging a lot until the last three reps. Still don’t understand how I will ever do a pull up but I’m putting the work in & trying to enjoy the journey!

6 years ago I wanted to learn pull https://t.co/evrdUbWxDM was too hard so I gave up. Started again. Hanging around on the bar for 4 x 30 secs. Doing something at the gym 3 times a week towards this. If I’d persisted years ago I probably could have been doing it by now 🤣🤣
