at a time when we’re more isolated from each other than ever, the theatrical experience has never been more important. they may not be perfect, but theaters are some of the few places left that bring people of all walks of life together to escape whatever we endure in the day-to-day and allow us to laugh as one, cry as one, feel as one, and belong to something bigger than ourselves. even if you’re there alone, you’re never truly alone.

theaters are an essential cornerstone of every community, and i shudder to think of a future without them - one where the sadness and division that already corrupts our culture has increased tenfold and further eroded our empathy. the erasure of the theatrical experience isn’t just anti-art, it’s anti-humanity.

@JavierQuesadaA Just saw video of a local dealer here who did a new comparison between M2 Ultra Mac Pro and M4 Mac Mini. The difference with the Sol Levante Netflix session was 10% in cpu peak… so if you don’t the connectivity of a MP or flexibility of a MacBook Pro definitely consider the mini

@JavierQuesadaA I don’t have an Intel or above M1 Max to compare to but recently I’ve used De-Hum on around 30mins of mono dial and that still took a good 10-15 mins or so 😂 Hush is waay faster than the one time I’ve used it on Intel but it’s written for Silicon after all.

@JavierQuesadaA Have been working so the last 8 years! PT project on one ssd and video on another ssd. That worked better pre silicon but now it’s probably overkill!

@JavierQuesadaA Haha I feel you. Last year I had a dial edit where I constantly needed more than +36 so everything became Clip group mania. I hope that on your end the mix tracks where good level at least and the pic editor can work with that!

@JavierQuesadaA So yes, AudioSuite will be much faster between intel and silicon I believe but I am not sure how much difference there would be between M3 Ultra and M4 Max or even M4 Pro for example. If you have a chance to test your sessions on different machines that would be good I guess
