My neighbour’s husband told everyone he wanted another child.

He had been saying it for years.

Whenever relatives visited, he would laugh and say, “This house needs one more person.”

His wife would smile and change the subject.

One evening, she finally told him, “I’m done having children.”

He was shocked.

“Done? We agreed on four.”

She replied, “You agreed. I agreed when I was 25. I’m 36 now. I don’t want to start all over again.”

They argued about it for months.

Then one Sunday, the husband stopped sleeping at home.

His wife eventually discovered he had gotten another woman pregnant.

She confronted him.

“You did this because I refused to have another child?”

He said, “I told you what I wanted.”

She started crying.

“You could have left me.”

He looked at her and said, “I didn’t want to leave you. I wanted a child.”

The other woman eventually had the baby.

Then something happened nobody expected.

The husband started begging his wife to forgive him and come back.

She refused.

He kept sending relatives to plead with her.

Finally, she told his elder brother:

“He wanted another child so badly that he destroyed the family he already had.

Now he has the child.

Let him enjoy everything he asked for.”
