@OurShallowState Too many people STILL do not understand this: there is something TERRIBLE in those files. Terrible enough for him to start wars, pick fights, tank the economy, and cause constant distractions. Too many people label the behavior "stupid" when, to him, it is self-preservation.
@OurShallowState Can we begin talking about the majority here? The people who did not vote? MAGA was a minority, now even more so. It would not take many non-voters to definitively tip the scales. Too much energy gets spent bemoaning the intractability of an unreachable and irrelevant minority.
@Kasparov63 It is the usual: trade everyone else's interests to support his own. Who else are these "investors" who will be given dibs on juicy real estate and development contracts in the Middle East? Does anyone seriously think he has suddenly begun to care how his actions effect others?
@emeriticus His boss, publicly, threatened to throw him under the bus this past week. And sent a literal lynch mob after his predecessor. And he, more than anyone, knows how bad things actually are. Yeah, he is a turd but very few people would not be in self-preservation mode right now.
@jaysbookman Are they incompent? Sure. But only if measured against the goals expected to be met by people in those positions. And too many people are still doing just that.
How can it not be obvious that these folks have VERY different goals? And, at those, they are succeeding, wildly.
@AdamKinzinger They are a bunch of posers but it *does not* say the US is paying directly. The language is intentionally vague. Anyone paying attention knows the intent is to have countries and individuals invest in Iran to that equivalent sum. Obvi, "the investors" get something out of it too.
@AmberWoods100 Nawh, no metaphor. Just another scam in plain sight. Where's that $14M, huh? Everyone is distracted by and arguing over a pool he never gave a flying fuck about. While he makes off with, even more, of the country's money. Same shit, different day.
@RonFilipkowski Why is no one tracking the money? It is clearly not going toward the pool. This is just a front for whatever grift he has going on now.
@SundaeDivine The pattern is distraction and grift, not incompetence. You think he gives two shits about the pool? Or any of these other "failed" projects? We have experts explaining, in great detail, why the intentionally poor job failed but no one is talking about where that $14M went.
@YourAnonTV This is less about time and more about "resolving" the inability to manage a simple clasp by, instead, tying the ribbon in a knot, choking the recipient in the process.
@AdamKinzinger It was never meant to be properly fixed.
Literally everything he does is transactional and this was no different. $14M? C'mon. He has hopped from one grift to another his entire life.
@MeidasTouch Annnnnnnnd, as predicted, here is his next manufactured distraction. He keeps picking fights because everyone then spends time/energy gasping and/or trying to figure out the "logic". Looking forward to the time these are ignored and the focus remains on what he is trying to hide.
@MikeLevin Literally everything he does is "corruption in plain sight." He is, and always has been, transactional. When can we move on from continuously pointing out the problem to, I dunno, maybe DOING something about it?
@reggiebblue@MeidasTouch I mean.... yeah, but if you think the damage will get turned around in a few years, or even a decade, you've not been paying attention.
See also: there is a massive systemic problem here that the departure of one person will not solve. He is only one of the symptoms.
@GinoTheGhost Yes, it is a common pattern but greed is behind it, not incompetence. Fixing the pool was never the goal. It was just another grift. He's been a con-man his entire life. He didn't suddenly stop, just scaled up. Stop focussing on the pool. It is a red herring. Find the money.
