As we make our way closer to base camp, we stumbled upon these feathered fruit eaters.

With vibrant plumage and beak-like mouths, they skillfully extract seeds from fruits, playing a vital role in the dispersal of plant life in Verdant Valley.

We just lost comms for a while, we are safe. Resuming regular scheduled programming momentarily!

The Verdant Valley has proven to be an extremely biodiverse ecosystem, and we've been collecting some samples to bring back to base camp.

Captured from a hidden perch within a riverside root system, the mighty Verdant Goliath prowls the water's edge in search of breakfast.🍽️

Moments after snapping this photo, it snatched up its prey and vanished into the dense forest. Fingers crossed we don't cross paths again!🤞

The Verdant Valley riverside is home to a range of reptilians, amphibious creatures, insects and prehistoric looking alien wildlife.

We captured this dazzling display of bugs darting and dancing near the river bank reflecting the sunlight of their wings.

Our underwater camera caught this amazing scene of tentacled creatures on the riverbed with bioluminescent markings.

We stumbled upon a charming group of small, bird-like creatures with elongated necks, iridescent frills, and lengthy tails!

They form a tight-knit community while they forage together.

Their watchful eyes and friendly demeanor are so cool to watch.

Their wings glow ethereal blue as one offers a bioluminescent yellow bug to a potential mate.

The other accepts, cradling the prize near her talons.

We're making our way back to the temporary forest campsite to post up before our second daytime adventure in the Azuris forest.

As we venture closer to the basecamp, we found a shallow pool teeming with bioluminescent tadpole-like creatures.

A mesmerizing light show! 💧🐟
