#OnThisDay 12th June 1381 the gates of the Tower of London were opened to the rebels. Sudbury, Archbishop of Canterbury, was holding Mass in the Chapel in the Tower. He and Treasurer Hales were dragged out and executed on Tower Hill as 'evil counsellors' to Richard II.
