"'Hey Jude,' now that’s beautiful. That should be what music is all about. The Beatles were great performers, too; we worked together in Hamburg before they were famous. You could tell they had something, you know. Because they didn’t sound like nobody else. They really did not sound like no other group that was around at the time — nobody.
"But what they had was songs. The best. Never dirty — just beautiful songs you can play to your grandmother and your children alike. 'Hey Jude' has that quality. It don’t get any better than that."

Paul McCartney says he will “always love” John Lennon:
"It wouldn’t matter, as it didn’t matter, what he said or did, because I’d known him since I was 15, and so he was like this mad guy I knew, and I really looked up to him. You know, when you’re, like, sort of 13 and a half or something… or when I was a little older, I was 15, he’d be, like, 16 and a half… when there’s that kind of guy who’s kind of cruel and witty and right on it, you look up to them and say, ‘Wow, he’s really cool,’ you know? And so I always thought John was very cool, and I still do. But he could be a complete idiot, over some things."

@calicoradio Es mi disco favorito de McCartney. Me gusta ese toque melancólico y amargo que se refleja en las canciones, donde se nota que estaba dejando atrás una parte compleja de su vida
