.@NinaShigesi from @UniofOxford presented a study of 273,404 women from the UK Biobank to assess association btwn #endometriosis and immunological diseases. Increased risk shown for rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid disease, type 1 diabetes, coeliac disease, and myasthenia gravis.

Nina Shigesi, our dept’s DPhil student presented the potential association between #endometriosis and immunological diseases at the prestigious @ESHRE 2019 conference here in Vienna.

Congrats to our DPhil students Teresa Vilanova Perez and Nina Shigesi who have each been awarded a Gustav Born Graduate Scholarship from @SPC_Oxford. The scholarships will help support their tuition and living fees for 2019/2020. Excellent news!
