Why should rogues and druids get all the secret talking fun? I decided to give all the classes a secret language of their own. #dungeonsanddragons#pathfinder2e
@SpicyEncounters Smaller than that too, you're killing every single cell organism in the area. Maybe a few extremophile bacteria or germs on the far side from the blast would survive a fireball, but harm scours the area as barren as the surface of the moon.
But you then run into what I think is a big problem:
How Do You Explain How The World Works Without Rehashing The Shitty Lore I Just Wrote?
If the world works like X because of Y lore reason, the natural cours of action is to explain Y.
DON'T EXPLAIN Y.
@BeardedHalfling Your fire shifts and changes, rewriting its own rules. For 1 minute, fire you create does not burn wood, cloth, or other normally flammable materials; instead it burns stone and metal.
@NSeanchai Oh that's great! Love it when magic/creatures have restrictions they didn't even realize where they originated, they take on entirely new aspects or abilities when introduced to a new environment
@Role_Play_Chat Depends on the type of enemy. Some ignore them, some try to confirm a kill, some explicitly leave them dying to take up the party's actions on healing instead of fighting, some will ignore actual dangers to eat them, and some will threaten them to try and force a surrender
@czepeku My game world... sort of did! There was an aspidochelone more like a crustacean than a turtle, but it was very big and island-like and after my players saved it, they got free skill feats from its ancient knowledge and one of them took it as his warlock patron
A few different places that I've sourced inspiration for biomech/creature designs. Basically, you can turn most things into a mech or creature dsign if you understand the material properties of the subject. It's really all about texture.
I should really be prepping for Gen Con, but I can't resist posting some more Stormlight RPG art!
While many of the novels' protagonists are Alethi, our team set out to portray people from around the world, as you can see in "Cultures of Roshar" by Deandra Scicluna (@dealunart).
@SpicyEncounters My party would second this considering how their run-in with one went
(plus the fact that they can squeeze through Medium sized spaces makes for some horrifically claustrophobic chase scenes)
