@rafa_morales90 We didnt use the mentioned method, we use a direct Atomic absorption where the calibration curve ranges from 1-300 mg/g as the used equipment recommends
@lscottblank Yes! If we active the adsorbents AND develope the textural properties we expect improve Hg adsorption since N2 adsorption isotherms showed this parameter positively impacts on Hg removal.
We cant say if Hg adsorption Is reversible since we Will just perform desorption studies
#IASTwitterPoster RECYCLING OF TETRA PAK WASTES VIA PYROLYSIS: CHARACTERIZATION OF SOLID PRODUCTS AND APPLICATION OF THE CHAR IN MERCURY ADSORPTION FROM WATER
@lscottblank Hi! The high Al contain can affect the textural properties blocking porous and making a low porous structure as shown in N2 adsorption isotherms plot.
The LDPE and cellulose structure contributes to the carbonaceous phase where LDPE Is the most thermally stable
@wilkins_ns Hi!! The char and aluminum phases obtained from tetra Pak pyrolysis were easely separated by density difference in water where char come up and aluminum down.
@wilkins_ns Hello! For this job we started with a enough grape baggasse mass quantity for the obtaining of all adsorbents samples so It was homogeneous and we dont have results in the context of different initial grape baggasse.
@rafa_morales90 The Hg2+ come from HgCl2 Solutions AND the used quantification method Is Atomic absorption using the necessary considerations (pH, calibration curve, etc).
@rafa_morales90 Hi! We performed the N2 adsorption isotherms for all of our adsorbents but we only presented 3 because all of them exhibited a similar behaviour indicating low textural properties AND low N2-surface interaction where the pyrolysis conditions impacts slightly on these characterist
