Alexander Maisuradze, @ale_mais, Permanent Representative of #Georgia to the #UN @GeorgiaGeneva, delivered a cross-regional statement, urging the universal, multilateral #UN #HumanRights system to place itself in the vanguard of the global reinvigoration of democratic society.

🗣️ The JST emphasised that HR & #democracy are interdependent and mutually reinforcing ➡️ a 'democratic crisis is, at heart, a human rights crisis'
