Absolutely perfect. One of the greatest stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading. One of the most twisted yet compelling villains in manga history, but other characters like Tenma and Grimmer serve as light in the darkness Johan creates. A must read.

Akira - 9/10

Saw this in IMAX for the recent re-release. An absolute triumph of animation. Nearly every shot is pure perfection, I don't even think I blinked once. You can tell how much of an influence it has had, in both Japanese and Western animation. Gotta try the manga next.
