right now you can play Pokémon and the other games for free with your keyboard, and you can mint the cartridge NFTs, build your collector profile, and sell/trade those NFTs.

the play to earn part is not live yet. we’re building the verified scoring + leaderboard system first so people can’t fake scores or farm rewards.

once that is live, you’ll be able to play supported games, rank on the leaderboard, join tournaments and earn solana:55sWLQ39KSw4MVAXRTv2YqLjtJX3j2FVLhRBXc4ypump based on actual verified performance.

you won’t need to own the specific cartridge just to play. NFT ownership is the collectible/utility layer and can give extra benefits later.

the hard part is making scoring fair for every game, because each one needs a different way to measure skill. racing needs times, arcade games need scores, Pokémon needs challenge based results, fighting games need their own logic.

DAY 2 UPDATE — STILL BUILDING

price dumped. we understand the panic.

but nothing changed on our side.

the price was low yesterday and we were building.
the price is lower today and we are still building.
we are not going anywhere.

on the product side, we tested the leaderboard system properly and found something important:

117 games are playable right now, but only 1 game currently has a leaderboard we are confident is actually verified. Sonic Pinball Party.

WarioWare looked like it worked, then failed our anti-cheat tests, so we removed it.

Mario Kart also failed one of the verification gates, so we refused to ship a fake leaderboard for it.

we would rather say 1 verified game out of 117 than pretend everything works.

the other 116 games are still completely free to play while we keep working on proper scoring systems game by game.

after scoring comes tournaments, rewards, more NFT utility, more ecosystem features and marketing.

this is day 2.

price moves fast. building takes longer.

i’m holding $N64X because the product already makes sense to me.

they’re also building proper game leaderboards and tournaments so players can compete and earn $N64X based on real scores.

what I like most is the game comes first. the token and NFTs are added on top, not the other way around.

@blknoiz06 liked the Webcade thesis for nostalgia, competition, accessibility and play to earn.

I think $N64X is attacking the same idea from a different angle with a much bigger retro game library and tradable collectibles already live.
