Yours development is speedy? we are struggling from last 11 years to get 5 Days banking and you are sitting over approval.
We need #5DayBankingNow Mr @narendramodi
That extra 40 minutes added in the last BPS is meaningless in reality. Visit bank branches, many remain open till 8-9 PM. We are still serving customers and driving the economy. Give bank employees a genuine work-life balance. #5DayBankingNow@DFS_India@PMOIndia
Let them plan agenda , we are unstoppable, Rather than ensuring banking services during 3 days strike why @DFS_India don't implement when it has been agreed mutually, it's blatant Voilation of Bipartite Agreement

8.86 lakh employees in 2012-13.
7.58 lakh by March 2025.
Business past Rs 283 lakh crore.
Record profits, over a lakh fewer hands and still six day per week.
5 day banking is not a concession. It is arithmetic that caught up long ago

India’s banking system is 24×7. Digital banking has expanded rapidly. 24,162 crore UPI transactions, 34.2 crore installations of official mobile-banking apps, 2.60 lakh BC/CSP points and 1.34 lakh PSB ATMs/CRMs. Yet bankers still work 6 days a week. Banking has changed. It’s time for the workweek to change. We demand the implementation of 5-Day Banking.

926 days since the 9th Joint Note.
1,018 days since the December 2023 understanding.
We never asked for the hours free — we offered 40 extra minutes every weekday.
A written agreement should be implemented without delay

Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.
