Got Mad Skills
Stuck in Traffic.
Stop building more roads. Start by making your existing roads world class, tree lined, sponge capable.
Begin with getting your policing correct again. You don’t know ?
This is the no of police per lakh people ratio worldwide,
Examples of Police Density in Selected Countries:
Cops per lakh people
United Kingdom: ~579
Hong Kong (China): ~445
Singapore: ~396
Germany: ~303
France: ~301
India: ~153
You want their type of systems and discipline, give us that type of citizens : police ratio,
Else, suffer the traffic.
And the water on the roads,
That’s cos they concretised everything.
If we can’t get the very basics in terms of citizen to police ratio correct. There is only so much that the existing police force can do. That’s the first step,
The next step is to be honest about infrastructure. One part is about papering over the city with 1970’s tech and thumb rules such as 15% of city surface area = roads
The second is to be Honest about what’s necessary as hygiene factors such as roads of a certain type and quality, footpaths of a certain standard, public transport systems with which traffic is mitigated.
Despite the road / parking to city surface ratio being as high as 63% in Los Angeles there is always traffic congestion there. You simply can’t build roads to accommodate unlimited vehicles. Face this fact first and then plan further.
They killed riparian forests and poured concrete over it all, where is the storm flood water supposed to go, 👇🏽this was the original sponge - riparian forests.
Now we have flooded roads. Suffer them.

We are the 999 founding owners of the BE 6 Batman Limited Edition (Aug 2025). We have tried every channel privately. This is our final public notice before legal action.
What you sold us in August 2025:
→ A "LIMITED EDITION" your word, not ours → 999 units. Individually numbered 001–999 → "Founding owners of this story" your exact words → Warner Bros. called it "a collector's statement on wheels"→ The badge on EVERY one of our cars reads "BE 6 × The Dark Knight, LIMITED EDITION" We paid a premium for exactly that exclusivity.
What you did in March 2026:
→ Launched an identical second batch of the same car → Quietly renamed "Limited Edition" → "Special Edition"→ Claimed it was "outlined" in Aug 2025 actual words were "Mahindra may introduce more limited-edition models"→ One speculative word ≠ an outlined commitment → You cannot rewrite your own archived press releases
The badge on our cars says LIMITED EDITION. Your 2026 car also says LIMITED EDITION. Both cannot be true.
@anandmahindra Ji just 2 weeks ago you said:
"Leadership isn't about ego, it's about listening, learning, and building strong teams. Never assume you're the smartest person in the room because in the end, teams win, egos don't."
Sir, 999 owners are listening to you say this. Now we are asking you to listen to us.
We are not asking for the 2026 batch to be cancelled. We understand production may have already begun in Pune cancelling impacts your supply chain and your workers. That is not what we want.
Our practical suggestion: Sell the 2026 batch as a Satin Black Edition without Batman logos, emblems or badging. Customers who want the Batman identity can opt-in at a service centre at nominal cost or free. This protects your supply chain, gives 2026 customers a choice, and restores what "Limited Edition" means to us.
We are handing you the solution. You just have to listen.
✅ Public acknowledgment of the misrepresentation ✅ 2026 batch visibly distinct identity, different badge, different name
✅ Compensation to 999 owners for collector value depreciation, not just money even extended warranty given at free of cost will be happy for us.
We are proud of this car. We say that with pride to everyone we meet. The 999 founding owners are not your enemy.
But teams win, egos don't. And right now, 999 owners are a team.

This kind of finishing is unacceptable for a new fly over opened today and does injustice to the image of our city . Hope this is corrected soon as also the area below is properly cleaned up 😳
Bharat Mandapam
Pune’s getting one.
The aero mall was made on a plot which was exclusively reserved for parking.
They technically did make a parking lot except that the mall also came along with the lot. But, wait a minute wasn’t the entire lot supposed to be only parking. Well yes, but what’s wrong if the airport passengers get a mall to boot eh…
This is how public land is often misused or abused or subverted for “so called” public purposes over and above what’s envisaged by the DP. So, Parking P = Mall M.,
There is 32 acres now approximately besides the Airport Aero Mall if you like. The entire land is going to be diverted to build a convention centre called Bharat Mandapam.
What will be subsumed in this 32 Acres.
Two roads on the grid which access the airport. 18 metre and 36 metre respectively.
A public school. The argument being given is kids prefer private schools over PMC schools. So school is secondary.
A Garden, The people can do with one more mall instead of a Garden. Kids can play in a mall instead.
It’s not over yet, Hold your breath.
A Hospital.
Despite Pune having a tremendous shortfall of hospital beds. No institution like AIIMS. No public hospital in full operation since Sassoon which is the district hospital built way back in 1867 and has only 1500 beds with the BJ Medical College affiliated with it producing only 250 Doctors per year. The Hospital project will also get cancelled and transmogrified into Bharat Mandapam.
Let’s go over this again.?
No Garden. No School. No Roads.,
No Hospital
All of the above = Bharat Mandapam.
The area in question = 32 Acres
The FSI possible under UDCPR = 9
The total area built up will equal
108,00,000 square feet.
That’s 1 crore 8 lakh square feet.
Or
Almost, 11 million square feet.
Give or take a few feet.
This place can attract crowds between 40,000 to 100,000 people.
Think Subroto Roy Sahara Stadium in Viman Nagar next to the airport.
Where will the traffic go,
It will go past the small bottlenecked underpass in Ramwadi or via Yerwada chowk or through Viman Nagar. Since we have made VN into one way lanes, why complain.
How much traffic already exists ?
About a lakh people commute to the airport every day via these routes and an additional couple of lakhs commute to the IT parks and neighbouring areas of Vishrantwadi, Dighi, Alandi, Chakan Moshi and Kalyaninagar, Magarpatta, Kharadi using these routes in the same east of Pune. Adding a few thousand cars and buses won’t do much just throw this or these three entry exits (majorly two) into a gridlock Everytime Bharat Mandapam has something happen there.
The two road capacity has been overwhelmed already. Besides, Pune Airport with its new terminal building is ambitiously planning on doubling its flights. It does approximately 200 today and over 40,000 people commute to and fro via air. Doubling will take the number upto 400 or 500 and about a lakh people flying.
The metro left out the airport in their route planning. As an after thought they’ve added a shuttle bus to the nearest metro station 2.5 kms away & even that’s never available every 5 minutes as was the promise. Reason = Traffic.
Building a crore plus commercial high rise sq ft will mean over a million tons of concrete will get poured into this project. Concrete absorbs heat of over 1100 joules per kg directly from sunlight falling on it. Temperatures on concrete are typically 2X what it’s in the atmosphere.
How will this get offset ?
Who will cool this building and light it.
Electricity for such energy intensive projects will mean over 500 kWh / square meter / annum.
Or
55 crore units of electricity.
Where will this come from ?
How will this get offset ?
What will be the environmental impact of this monster structure ?
How much water will it consume ?
90% of Vimannagar is already tanker dependent. The airport and Aero Mall get water supply via tanker.
Bharat Mandapam, at what cost to us ?
Pune ?
Metro
The math,
As per this worthie, Shri @satyajeettambe
Metro works worth
394 km in Mumbai
137 km in Pune
84 km in Nagpur
is planned…
394 + 137 + 84 = 615 kms
615 X 500 crore per km = 3,07,500 crores.
That’s our tax money.
10,000 buses in Pune and
Another
10,000 in Mumbai = 30,000 crores.
You’ll have a bus every 500 metres and there simply won’t be any dearth of public transportation. Including last mile transit. Including capacities for projected peak loads. Traffic jams will become history.
But 10X the money will be spent on giving us Metros which cause endless traffic jams while building and deliver very little throwput eventually.
The metro system in Pune will deliver 6 Lakh rides or passengers when it’s fully operational.
The PMPML bus system in Pune ferries 12 lakh people or rides every day already with barely 1200 to 1500 operational buses.
Buses can mitigate traffic. Give us doorstep and last mile service and barely cost 1 kWh per km to operate with AC, comfortable seating, WiFi and perhaps even a coffee machine.
The metro system hasn’t turned a profit throughout India and the sunk capital cost remains that - Sunk. At best they’ve turned an operational profit a euphemism for somehow turning the corner on their expenses. It’s a loss.
Yet. We intend to spend 3 lakh crores and more on these here metro projects while suffering interminable delays in traffic and having the whole country become a construction site.
We will always have politicians fooling us with worthless trade offs, listen carefully and Choose even more wisely;

@anandmahindra , loved testing out both the Be 6 and the XEV 9e..
Damn Hard a choice to make.
My wishlist:
1. Streaming rear view mirror (ergonomic & focused)
2. White or off-white interiors (Be6)
PS: Race mode is fantastic in the right hands.
Cheers!
@ameetgsingh@sudhirmehtapune Hopefully with more collaboration , participation and intervention from all of us (citizens, governance and industrialists alike) who are striving for better living and neighbourhoods, we could achieve something including symmetry, @ameetgsingh
This week ended on a good note. Community service has significantly changed my perspective and built a sense of belonging to this city.
To have more time to spend doing what you truly want to do, a better environment to do this in, & the ability to move freely is my only goal.
Delighted to attend the Pune Traffic Mitigation Internship Program felicitation today at the Commissioner of Police Office, Pune.
As PPCR, it was inspiring to see young minds actively tackling Pune’s traffic challenges through real-time data collection, fieldwork, and policy research. It's high time we empower Mohalla Committees with real authority and decision-making power over the future of our localities.
In #Pune, citizens are being sidelined from critical decisions and projects, while the administration and elected representatives dodge accountability. This can’t continue—people deserve a direct say in how their neighborhoods are shaped. It's time to put power back in the hands of the people.

#PPCR Delegation convened a meeting with Shri. Manoj Patil IPS, Pune's Additional Commissioner of Police, to address traffic management challenges. His extensive experience, including his previous tenure as DCP of Traffic, guided our discussions. He presented to us various initiatives proposed to be undertaken by the @PuneCityTraffic to alleviate the current chaos prevalent across the city.
They have identified 32 arterial roads, the busiest roads in Pune, and aim to maximize the vehicle carrying capacity of these roads and develop/add new missing link roads to ease the traffic. The Traffic Police also aims to reduce congestion times by reducing unwanted traffic signals. Traffic Police is already in a tie-up with PMC and Google Maps to run this project where they have already mapped traffic chronic spots and started working on Solapur and Ahmednagar roads. We at @ppcr_pune have asked for the implementation of a zero-tolerance policy on these 32 arterial roads.
The Traffic Department is also seeking volunteers with engineering backgrounds to assist on a volunteer basis to support these efforts. PPCR has offered to coordinate with industry experts, educational institutions, and students to propose solutions for traffic issues. The focus is on low-budget, short-term projects for sustainable traffic improvement.
We, @Manojpochat , @NishitKamath and I, also requested Shri. Manoj Patil to present to key individuals and members to support quick strategy, action, and resource allocation for low-budget and short-term projects which will provide sustainable traffic ease.
If you are interested in volunteering, please message Aniket at +918805008614.

(1/6) - While a lot has been said, this thread summaarizes the issues at Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. A natural nullah that used to flow as showing in the image below has been blocked by systemic dumping of construction debris with intention to encroachment. @PMCPune has been aware.
At some point, our constituents have to look within and ask themselves about the consequences of garbage burning that affects us all. Need your utmost attention @PMOIndia@CMOMaharashtra@CPPuneCity@PMCPune@mieknathshinde . We need to breathe!
