Leonard Ceo of $Aster dex view on honest buybacks
Buybacks don’t create real value they only amplify or redistribute what already exists. What truly matters is building a competitive product that can sustain long-term growth. Leonard’s point is refreshingly honest: without strong product-market fit and user retention, no amount of buybacks will save the project
Market share and sustainable growth should come before chasing short-term profits. Great interview — founders need to focus on users first, not just token mechanics.
I want to add Aster DEX is especially important here it has strong potential to capture the massive Asia market. Great interview. Focus on users and growth first, not just token mechanics.
Breaking news: $Aster now uses 99% of its daily trading fees to buy back $ASTER tokens from the market.
Hyperliquid allocates around 97% of its fees for HYPE buybacks through its Assistance Fund. Aster goes one step further by matching the buyback with an equal 99% burn from its reserve.
This creates nearly double the deflationary pressure compared to Hyperliquid ‘S model. Aster is also aggressively reducing its total supply from 8 billion to just 3 billion tokens.
While Hyperliquid has no hard supply cap, its consistent 97% fee buyback has already delivered over $1 billion in value back to holders seems $ASTER also approaching same thing I am adding more $Aster here while I am posting this Now $BTC $Eth can drop but $Aster is soon going to touch above 5 dollars
