लेकिन हिन्दवी को उनकी प्रतिनिधि पंक्तियों के रूप में उन कविताओं को साझा करना चाहिए था जिनका आप ज़िक्र कर रहे हैं। मैंने उनके सारे काम पर कोई जजमेंट नहीं किया। सिर्फ़ इन पंक्तियों पर जो मुझे न काव्यात्मक लगीं और न सुघड़। ये कहने का छोटा सा अधिकार मुझे बक्श दिया जाये!

उनकी इस बात से भी पूरी तरह सहमत हूँ कि मुझे कविता लिखना नहीं आता। मैंने ख़ुद ये बात हाल में आई अपनी कविताओं की किताब “मैं अक्सर सोचता हूँ” में फ़ोरवर्ड में प्रमुखता से लिखा है, कि मैं गीतकार हूँ मुझे कविता लिखना नहीं आता।

बुंगा दुर्गा पीपल के बच्चे रोजाना करीब 4 किलोमीटर पैदल चलकर ककनई इंटर कॉलेज जाते हैं। बारिश आते ही रास्ते में उफनती नदी आ जाती है और यही नौनिहाल अपनी जान हथेली पर रखकर नदी पार करने को मजबूर होते हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री जी, सोचिए अगर ये आपके बच्चे होते तो क्या आप उन्हें इस तरह जान जोखिम में डालकर स्कूल जाने देते?

और वैसे भी, आप मुख्यमंत्री होने के नाते हर बच्चे की सुरक्षा और शिक्षा के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं।
