Facilitating a better faculty-to- student ratio on site doesn't guarantee quality education. We need to treat the faculty in a better way as well. The state's treatment to SSB lecturers is unconstitutional and unethical.

Discrimination in Pay scale by Odisha Govt as

1. Gp 4200 - for Aided Secondary School teacher(TGT)

2. Gp 4600- for Higher Secondary Schools teacher(PGT)

3. Gp 4600 (instead of Gp 5400) -SSB Lecturers in Degree Colleges

@the_osla Bringing parity in the pay scale is a must to democratise the system at per Govt lecturers.. Infact the way we are deprived of the payscale is a matter of great concern.. I appeal to the Authorities for due consideration and favorable action.

@the_osla SSBs are recruited by govt. for teaching degree college students having CBCS syllabus. It means there is no doubt on their eligibility. If so,then why govt is not considering to provide Group A pay scale which is equivalent to UGC scale.

@the_osla If we are such an ineligible teachers then why government recruited us and play an injustice game with us. Though we a doing same level of work or more than that by teaching both +2 and +3 and somewhere PG also. It's affect our psychology and our efficiency. consider it urgently

Odisha Govt. has taken a plethora of strides to bring in transformation in Higher Education. Yet, the ssb recruited lecturers in aided colleges are placed in Group-B(4600GP).Whereas, in other states, aided college lecturers are getting UGC scale.
