@tctsamy I personally love Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and Black/White but those are a bit older and slower paced so I chose to recommend some of the newer games before gamefreak went ahead and made the switch games which generally dropped in quality. You could also do X/Y for Chespin!

@tctsamy Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon were probably the best gameplay/feature wise imo. I slept on them a lot after only playing the original sun/moon but they're a lot better. They're different from previous games tho, if you want the og pokemon experience you can play omega ruby/alpha saphire.
