@msmisrule We’ll that’s really heartening! Do you think AU publishers know that? 😂 From 2 big name publishers and an AU agent, “gatekeepers” was the reason they gave me for why that novel was passed on.

@MegCaddyAuthor @msmisrule I’ve had a fair amount of interest on one of my YAs but essentially was knocked back by publishing houses because it is too edgy. YA in Australia is now afraid to include underage drinking/sex and include swearing or pregnancies. Only safe stuff is getting through these days.
