Ronny Kiplangat disappeared after serving in church on 21st December. He's cartoonist Gideon Kibet's brother. He's not a government critic, isn't active here.
7 days after President Ruto promised to end abductions in Kenya, Ronny & dozens more are still missing. Where are they?
I join the rest of the country to DEMAND that all Kenyans ABDUCTED & held incommunicado MUST be released within the next 12hrs UNCONDITIONALLY.
If not, Kenyans of goodwill have an obligation under Article 37 of our 2010 Constitution to DEMONSTRATE & COMPEL gov't to release them!
Two days after President Ruto promised to end abductions in Kenya, 29 people are still missing. Previous abductees were stripped, handcuffed to the floor & tortured for weeks.
“Where do you draw the line between power and dictatorship?" My latest for CNN

I’ll hold an @X space on Sunday.
I call upon MILLIONS of Kenyans with social media accounts to post pictures of @WilliamsRuto in prison, in coffins and being punished for crimes against humanity.
Chora cartoons, silhouettes and drawings depicting Ruto in the worst possible way.
Respect is earned; not imposed!
He has no power or capacity to abduct and detain everyone.
We are 56,000,000, while he has only a maximum of 500 abductors.
STONE ALL abductors. It’s war.
We have no luxury to pet a tyrant!
Be fearless!!

In recent weeks, we have witnessed an alarming increase in abductions and forced disappearances targeting young people who use digital platforms to exercise their civic duty and express their dissatisfaction with the management of the affairs of this nation.
These abductions are deliberate yet desperate attempts by the government to suppress dissent, discourage civic engagement, and instill and entrench a sense of fear in the country to escape public scrutiny and accountability.
Indeed, these young Kenyans are not criminals. They are simply agitating for a country that reflects their aspirations, where the rule of law prevails, public institutions prioritize the common good, quality social services are accessible, and the economy creates opportunities for growth and prosperity for all.
What the young people are opposed to is the government attempting to impose what they imagine is good for them while excluding them from decisions that profoundly affect their lives. As such, it is incumbent on the government to understand that it cannot silence dissent with abductions but by simply making the system work for the people.
Therefore, this deeply disturbing trend cannot continue unchecked as distressed families agonize about the whereabouts of their loved ones. We condemn these acts and call on the government to produce these individuals before a court of competent jurisdiction if they are deemed to have committed any crime under the law.
The freedom of speech, assembly, and association are enshrined in our constitution. They cannot be curtailed based on the whims of individuals at the helm of power.
I watched and heard the President speaking in Homa Bay, after his host Raila Odinga had condemned the ongoing abductions and kidnappings of youthful Kenyans. He did not condemn nor order investigation or bringing the perpetrators to justice. This is grossly unaccessible means of ending the raging debate. In fact the President appeared to be blaming the parents and society generally for failing in parental responsibilities. He is failing or has failed in his solemn duties of protecting and defending the Constitution. He has subverted the solemn oath of due execution of responsibilities as President and Commander in Chief. Since Parliament is actively aiding and abetting in this abdication, we the people are now entitled to exercise our sovereign duty and call upon the President to resign.
The Police in Kenya should stop thinking that they are more powerful than the people that pay them. We outnumber them and we can outgun them if we want. We have been patient for long. But if they keep threatening our lives at home with death and abduction, we will rise and defend ourselves.

This is the last picture of silhouette cartoonist Gideon Kibet - Tuesday at 2.23pm. He never made it back to Kikuyu where he was staying.
His younger brother Rony Kiplangat was last seen on Saturday afternoon.
Kenyan police say they didn’t abduct them. So, who took them?
Mr. Ruto, what kind of regime is this? Where are Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Naomi, and Bernard Kavuli?
These abductions MUST STOP.
Release all abductees to their families IMMEDIATELY.

There are fears that @Kibet_bull has already been murdered and his body dumped in some quarry.
The hit was ordered by @WilliamsRuto whose bloated ego was deflated by the Kasongo moniker coined by Kibet.
So @OkiyaOmtatah has engineered the assassination of our friend and brother Kibet. Activists are trash 🤮
