@cobbo3 Video games commentary and dialogues are already AI and they're pretty good too. A human would just license their commentary which AI would train on and it'll also be pretty awesome
@MichaelxKirwa@kisengemeshack1 Probably true. Capacity before renovation and seat installation used to be 25k max. The most sold tickets at Nyayo in 2011 was 23k, adding another 10% in losses and crew. Guys buy Derby tickets more than any other match because of FOMO and the stricter entry protocols in place.
The longer football ticket prices stay low the longer the game stays in its "low level, low value" chokehold. We transitioned general ticket prices from 100 to 200 in 2010 and it's crazy it's still the price today 16 years later, major loss of value has happened in that time
Bandari Charged 500 at mbaraki

@Theo_mwangi That OneApp debacle should power up anyone trying to build Mpesa alternatives or completely new products to dig in. The time is finally here, Mpesa is long broken we are now starting to see and feel it on the user side and it's only going to get worse
@haofuwei Probably not, optimize on what's working... urban areas, connectivity and go deep down in STEAM infrastructure. They don't think they need it now but they will so just make sure it's ready when they eventually get there
I wish to sincerely thank everyone who made the recent distribution of farmers’ inputs through merchants a success.
In the past, distribution through open grounds and schools often created unnecessary chaos. Farmers would travel long distances only to find long queues, pushing and confusion. Women and the elderly suffered the most. Some went home without help despite the county spending heavily. The system was loud, dramatic and political, but not always effective.
This time we tried something different: using local merchants and a simple digital verification system. The result was calmer, faster and far more inclusive. Almost every registered farmer was able to access fertiliser, certified maize seeds and pesticides near their homes, with dignity and order.
I thank all the merchants who served farmers patiently and safeguarded the inputs. Your integrity and long hours made the difference.
My appreciation also goes to the IT team that powered the verification system—especially Meshack, our Head of IT, and James, the system developer—whose expertise ensured the system worked smoothly.
I also thank the Agriculture team led by CEC Mugo. Special recognition goes to Dr. Appolo, the Chief Officer, whose dedication and constant coordination kept the entire exercise on track.
We are grateful as well to the transporters and their drivers who moved the inputs across the county and worked long hours to ensure every ward was supplied.
The philosophy behind this success is simple. When systems follow science, logic and organization, they work better. By relying on merchants—the everyday engines of trade—and supporting them with technology, the county was able to serve farmers more efficiently.
This is not the Governor’s win. In truth, many leaders prefer the drama and spectacle of chaotic distributions. This success belongs to teamwork, professionalism and the quiet power of a system guided by reason rather than politics.
Above all, it is a victory for the farmers of Murang’a.
If it wasn't for this Demand, I suspect Kinoru would still be closed like Kirigiti. I also think it's gotten to this state because none of the current users demand anything.
In 2022 fighting for the stadium to be opened for sports, we had scheduled a @MeruBombers match here by force but got locked out while Johnnie Walker had a scheduled Ruger concert the next weekend. Went to court, stadium was opened before case was heard. It's been downhill since
Kenyan football will kill you literally or otherwise. Teya is a victim of the low level framework the game is. They tried to kill him at a stadium & succeeded online. It's an impossible muck to launch from. It's just a matter of time but they eventually get you #FoootballKe
Kenyan football is a low level, low value affair that's fatal at least five times a year. The only way to change is to see a few officials and goons charged with Manslaughter every time this happens
One fan has been confirmed dead following clashes that erupted around Dandora Stadium as supporters exited after the abandonment of the Nairobi United vs. Gor Mahia match.
Kenyan football is a low level, low value affair. It's impossible to build a business in or on top of it. It's only possible as a charity. Simply put, if you can't currently buy yourself a brand new Range Rover every year just for kicks, forget about it
Without resources , the journey to building this dream just begun last month. Adopted a youth oriented team playing the Sub county grassroot league In Nairobi. Slowly by slowly together with the coach looking forwad to building a formidable football club. Well wishers, We need training materials like balls, cons , training singlets and biggest of all Team jerseys for Matchdays
It's because of newcomers chasing opportunity, not residents downgrading. The problem is the resident workforce doesn't see a reason to upgrade lifestyle even with better income
The downsizing in Diani/Ukunda is on another level. Houses under 5k - long waiting list. Houses 5-12k - move in today. Houses over 12k - vacancies everywhere, name your price.
When hardship strikes, rent is the easiest thing to cut.
