SHETTIMA SPEAKS ON IGBO, NIGERIAN UNITY IN NEW YORK

Speaking at the Nigerian House in New York while addressing the Nigerian diaspora community on the sidelines of 81st UNGA, Vice President Kashim Shettima called for Nigerians to remain united, saying what binds the country together is bigger than what divides it.

During the question-and-answer session, he was asked about the Igbo and Nigeria's unity. Shettima pointed to the fact that people close to him, including members of his staff, are Igbo, using the example to reinforce his message about the need for Nigerians to look beyond ethnic differences.
