I know this is something that rarely gets talked about, but we also need to start educating ourselves to see the signs of when our parents are dealing with their own mental health problems.
Abuse counts on your silence to thrive. So I disagree. The abuse I experience doesn’t give anyone leverage. If anything it should serve as a warning for what will happen to you if you harm me.
