A massive victory for teachers and staff at John Roan. All their hard work & commitment has paid off.The disastrous UST has pulled out of sponsoring the John Roan 👏 @AngelaRayner@jeremycorbyn@cyclingkev@NEUnion
Your occasional reminder that council SEND teams have used blocks like these for decades - in times of plenty as well as austerity.
More funding is necessary - but not sufficient by itself without better accountability & organisational behaviour
Here are the some of the reasons parents have given for why we are fully behind our striking support staff. Sometimes you don't know how precious something is until it's gone.
A school is made of people, not... https://t.co/dAL0BNY4Iz
...The lack of accountability or answerability of decision-makers to communities who are on the end of their decisions, esp through the academies policy, was key reason for setting up website. So honoured to have @julierayson and @HandsOffWHX speaking at #EducationUncovered conf.
Exactly what they did at springfield. Then blamed 800k deficit on teachers and got rid of them. Self serving policy and agenda, not in our childrens benefit 😠
Solidarity greetings to all taking action ✊🏼.
Academsiation is a failed project which there is no evidence it has improved education for our young people.
Ofsted has today published a report on phase 3 of its curriculum research. (https://t.co/aHfEVidCQU) Great. But still not published a report on either phase 1 or (the more controversial) phase 2, as far as I'm aware...
GMB support staff and cleaners out on strike at John Roan to protect conditions, jobs and the school! The fight continues with @JohnRoanResists Say no to UST and privatisation!
@warwickmansell@WhereSueBalwin @antiacademies @NEUnion@GMB_union@educationgovuk Interestingly enough, we invited Sue Baldwin too but haven't heard anything. We wanted her to see the changes at the school and improvements we've made before any decisions were made in regards to the future of our school, unfortunately we've not had a reply 😞
