Been going down a rabbit hole on women’s health startups lately
Market is massive, but funding is tiny compared to other health sectors...why?
Female purchasing power is strong & the market is there for products that actually WORK,
Would pay $$$ for quality estrogen support
Gotta shoutout a place that keeps it cool and authentic, New Orleans....you freakin rock.
Curious: what great companies are being built outside the NYC / SF / Boston / LA hubs?
wanna see the teams that are breaking the geographical mold.
Insane night @ The Grammys…..Oliva Dean is forever my idol, inspiration, and badass girl-crush
Burger is much deserved after how much screaming @AAMayfair and I did during the show
PS: Who's got a product that can save my voice right now? Million-dollar idea for a voice-preservation pill that can make me not sound like Darth Vader
Everyone, I want you to meet Neil.
Neil is apparently me...if I were a man (as TS says in her famous song).
Not bad, I thought, when my team showed me the AI image. Kinda Prince Harry vibes, don't you think?
There's been lots of discussion on here about how ai is changing the algorithm and gender bias on X and Linkedin. 🤓
Cindy Gallop is the one who brought this to my attention. I'll out the Washington Post article explaining the situation in the comments below.
This debate, well, it sent me digging down the LinkedIn rabbit hole.
I took a quick hard look at Gary V’s engagement. He’s got about 5.8 million followers on LinkedIn, and on any given post he gets roughly 4,000–5,900 likes plus a few hundred comments, which adds up to something like 0.1% of his entire audience engaging.
Regardless of what you personally might think of his content, those stats f'n suck. I can't tell if he pays to boost his content, but I don't think so. If he did, that would be really really bad.
Then I looked at some women in a related space (bestselling author, award winning podcast host) with a similarly impressive number of followers as our dear friend Gary.
Let's take the whip smart Gretchen Rubin. She's got 3M followers and most of her posts get less than 0.1% engagement.
The point: the number of followers you have doesn't guarantee impressions or likes; LinkedIn’s algorithm decides who actually sees your content (but we knew that already). So, is it bias towards masculine sounding / looking content?
Cindy-says-so (which should be a tee-shirt or universally known hashtag).
She knows things. She sees things most of us are too scared to see, (case in point, LinkedIn removing an innocent picture of her bikini top lying in the grass as inappropriate content for work). My bet is she's right.
So, I'm going to heed the challenge (when no one is really looking), and experience it for myself to see what happens. You'll see Neil for a few days running Revenge Capital. He'll be the co-founder and Managing Partner of a nice sized VC fund.
A takeover — of sorts.
I'm curious about how this makes me feel, impersonating a man. I've never done it before. I'm curious about how this idea makes all of you feel?
Let's see how Neil does against Nell, with all his masculine corporate language and emphasis on winning, scaling, driving...fast (the words that apparently do well).
I'll be back to report, as always, from the other side of things.

The real boss of my life?
My 16-year old daughter, Gwen.
She delegates like a pro. Calls out BS when needed. Gets things DONE
Shoutout to the CEOs & Execs who know where the real priorities lie, juggling the boardroom, family, and life without losing themselves.

NYC is fire.
It's the same fire I felt at 24, and the same vibration that keeps me coming back all these years later.
If your playground is NYC or anywhere else…come check out Revenge Capital.
There are days like today when you look at the life you live and wonder, how the F— did I get here?
Six years ago, I was barely surviving.
Paying a sitter to show up at 5:10 am so I could catch a 5:44 train, burying my mother and best friend just months prior, and closing the doors on a psychotherapy practice I’d built for over a decade.
The dream of managing a global venture fund? A mere figment of my imagination — but that’s all it took to make Revenge Capital a reality.
Six quick and very long years later, I spoke at the FQ alongside women whose careers I’m in awe of, looking out at the crowd, grateful for this crazy thing I get to call my life.
Keep dreaming.
I spent 24 hours in Miami at an exclusive Cantor Fitzgerald event at the Ritz
Tech, AI, & insider access that’s rare for women
Here's what stuck
Gary Vaynerchuk said something scary: There is AI content out there of him that's NOT him...leads me to question everything

Crypto being the SEC's #1? Interesting.

The "richest place on earth"?
Not St. Barth's
Not Dubai or Silicon Valley.
It's "the graveyard".
Full of dreams, ideas, and ambitions of people who never tried.
Comfort is expensive....Regret is the cost of untouched visions.
CES, full circle.
Thank you to The Female Quotient, Equativ, and M+C Saatchi Group for inviting me to speak on being a founder and female in the space, everything AI, emerging tech, gender bias, and the ins and outs of Venture Capital....
See you next year, xoxo Nell

🛑 WTF do you do if you’re not well networked, or don’t know rich dudes in venture capital, or can't seem to break into the ever-elusive “angel networks” in your city, assuming you live in a community that even has them? 😅
🛑 WTF do you do as an entrepreneur if you can’t raise a friends-and-family round because a) your friends don’t have jack s**t, or b) they don’t believe in you or your dreams enough?
(Don't worry, I’ve been through both of these scenarios myself, and now I'm the co-founder and MD of a venture capital firm, built precisely because this whole thing pissed me off ie. the name Revenge Capital).
🛑 WTF do you do if you can’t even afford to go to the conferences where said investors are, that you imagine are somehow magically walking around hoping to bump into you? 🤷♀️
When we all know HNWs (yes, that stands for high net worth, an acronym I didn’t know until I was in my late 30's because I didn’t know that was a thing, because clearly I wasn’t part of that crowd😂), are actually just hanging out day and night at conferences, or family office summits TOGETHER -- most likely eating a steak and downing a bottle of wine you couldn’t dream of affording.
This occurred to me last year when I was in Davos, at WEF.
Sitting on the other side now, the investor side, I was like, wow, this trip is kind of a miss because I should simply be sitting on the promenade all day -- literally -- meeting founders who have, like I did, struggled to get there. Because they were like me, walking around just praying to run into people at the right events, bars, and cocktail parties I lied to get into, who may have capital and are looking to invest.
So at CES, I’m holding office hours. I’ll make sure to use X to let people know where I am if they want to chat and tell me their dream.
Handle is @nobsnell⭐️
I used to say this to my patients, “What you're looking for in the universe is also looking for you." A yogic phrase I totally buy.
And we all need to ask more investors to meet founders where they are. Lack of access is real and everyone deserves to have a dream realized.
In fact, I'll start doing more of these "office hours" on Linkedin and Instagram so founders can ask me questions in real time. Stay tuned.
xx

Honored to be joining an incredible group of women at CES for a conversation on leadership, influence, and building power across tech, media, and advertising. See you at the @FemaleQuotient Lounge.
CES is calling. I’ll be meeting founders and hearing pitches in intimate rooms built for real conversation, not competition. If you’re building the future of media, advertising, or consumer, I want to hear your story.
Looking for an established tech or media journalist / podcaster who wants to host a panel at CES inside the FQ. Message me and repost to your fellow writers. #CES2026
