It took ten minutes. Just ten minutes of Biden's sputterings and mutterings for the "press" to be exposed as a subsidiary of the Democratic National Corporation.

Just seconds after Joe's self-immolation, his own media handmaidens queued up to denounce him as feeble, calling for the golden slipper to snatched from him at the Chicago convention. When just the day before -- weeks before, years before -- they conspired to connive us that Joe was somehow at the peak of his psychic physique.

In short, the media lied to us.
They manipulated us.
Last night, they realized it's over. The rest of us knew this for quite some time.

It's the same for their dinner companions inside Democratic National Committe, who have conducted electoral business much like the Soviet Politburo. 

The DNC all but suspended the primaries, allowing no alternative to stand in comparison next to Biden. They blocked Bobby Kennedy, for god's sake. They would not even extend secret service protection to the man.

But...but...Trump, you say! The Republicans, you say!

I know. I know. But, again, you can place some of the blame at the hooves of the Democats for the rebirth of the Big Orange. At least the GOP hosted a spirited primary season. The Democrats served up an unsavory choice of one. Brezhnev could not have done it better.

And so now they're stuck. 
I don't know where the Democrats go from here.

They've alienated their one-time constituents: Those against war. Those who are asked to fight those wars. Working people now working two jobs. Those who covet their freedom of speech and freedom of movement. Those who bristle against political bossery, public corruption, and govermental overreach. Those against corporate welfare and public dollars funneled to the highest bidder. Those who put their country and their families first.

It was obvious to anybody honestly watching last night. It isn't Biden setting policy. It's a stable of incompetent horse traders fertilized by an oodle of media poodles. 

This morning, at least, those donkeys and dogs can be found wandering out in the pasture trying to augur a way back.

Mark Twain famously said there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.

There is a fourth, but Mr. Twain did not live long enough to behold the phantasmagoria known as Bidenomics.

Consider what the Federal Reserve shows us: Biden's Bureau of Labor Statistics overstated jobs created in 2022 by 1.1 million. The BLS conjured up another 800,000 phantom jobs for 2023.

Nikita Khrushchev would be proud.
Fake numbers covering up a fake economy funneled through a Soviet-style bureaucracy of dubious double-speak.

Those reported 230,000 jobs/month last year were actually only 130,000 jobs/month.

Economists generally agree that 145,000 jobs need to be created in order for the labor market to break even with population growth.

Also, all the net jobs created last year were part-time jobs. There are FEWER full-time jobs than there were just the year before.
Part-time jobs are counted as jobs. Even if one person is working one, two or three of them.

What's more, since Covid, the number of immigrants working is up by ~ 2 million while there are ~200,000 fewer US-born Americans working.
Six-in-10 of those immigrants are non-citizens.

So where did the American worker go? He dropped out, quit, gave up. Therefore, he isn't counted in the unemployment statistics.

Where are all the good manufacturing jobs they keep babbling about ... manufacturing has been contracting for the last two years.

Real wages are falling again. It would be even worse if the Federal Goverment -- the largest employer in the world -- hadn't given its 3 million employees a 10% pay raise.

All that wouldn't be so bad, I suppose, if the White House wasn't running a whopping $2 trillion yearly deficit to make this ant-hill sized growth happen. That's where inflation is coming from.

The Common Folks inflation index is comprised of things you HAVE to buy -- food, gas, housing, clothing, utilities, and insurance. If you measure it this way, then you'll see inflation outstripped wages by 7% since Biden took office.
(And that doesn't count the explosion in the cost of financing cars and credit cards, etc.)

That's life in the real world, which is light years removed from the plasticine TV studios and marbled corridors of power where the mendacious, compulsive, and ambitious use statistics to warp reality and twist the voters' minds.

This is on top of the $400 MILLION wasted on the old half-built "new" jail that was bulldozed after I uncovered the graft on that deal.

This hustle was no better.

Unsolicited no-bid contracts. Flunkies and Footmen disguised as public servants.
A gullible press corps who seemed to type with pom-poms extolling the acumen of the billionaire developer.

Consider: The man negotiating for Wayne County on the jail deal was also working for the developer of the jail.

My poor old mother can barely afford her water bills as it is. Shit, we got a whole city around here that can't afford its water bills.

When it's all said and done, we will have spent more than $1 BILLION ... for a jail.

I suggested in 2020 that the "Defund the Police" marchers focus their protests at the County Seat. They declined.

I understand. Math can be hard. Accountants don't draw the chicks or the cameras.

But everyone can count to 0. I'm afraid we're headed there.

The illegal immigrant charged with the murder of a Michigan woman is one the millions of "got-aways" who have stolen into the country undetected.
"They're sneaking in by the millions because they've got us busy babysitting and passing out hand wipes and bottles of water instead of doing our job," a border patrol official tells me.
"These people are dangerous. We don't know who they are, where they come from, or where they are now. It's just a total cluster fuck down here."
The alleged murderer -- who shot the woman, dumped her body and stole her car -- was was previously deported in September 2020 during the Trump Administration.
