Ridiculous Idea

Doing everything we can to stop the ridiculous, unnecessary and arrogant Woking stadium and ‘Cardinal Court’ development.

@RoryMacPherson4 @elfinwood44 @wokingfc Thanks Rory. Good to hear your points. Although I believe 200 out of the 1000+ homes will be affordable.

Crazy amount of flats proposed in Woking 👎 - petition below https://t.co/EZOEHaY4fK

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

@RoryMacPherson4 @elfinwood44 @wokingfc Thanks Rory! Would be good to hear your views on this? Also happy to reassure you that this account is a tiny piece of that movement.

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

No thank you - the local community who have supported this club through some turbulent times don’t want this. Incredible arrogance from cash grabbers.

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

With the local community completely against this, with any luck there won’t be any ‘go ahead’!

[Woking News & Mail @Woking_NewsMail]

Plans for the #Woking Community Stadium at #Kingfield have reached the final approval stage, with developers hoping for the go ahead from @wokingcouncil by January 2020. See https://t.co/cLMipNLbOt or the 18 July News & Mail @wokingfc #GolDev #Development #Sport #COYC #Community

[JCHereAndNow @JCHereAndNow]

Woking needs more schools not 1100 new flats around a redeveloped football stadium

@rob_hemingway Definitely not ‘on the way’ Rob! A supposed local team who ‘appreciates the community’ who are looking to completely destroy it.

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

Incredible! Pure arrogance and complete and utter disregard for local community who have supported @wokingfc through some terrible times.

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

@WokingWorks In one word - unnecessary! #NoCardinalCourt

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

@WillForster Thanks Will! Glad we have someone to represent us who is transparent in their thinking👍🏻

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

@WokingLibDems Any firm position on the proposed #CardinalCourt and @wokingfc plans? Lots of local uproar about the astonishing proposals... @RadioWoking @inside_woking @wupwoking @Woking_NewsMail

[Will Forster MP 🔶 @WillForster]

@NoCardinalCourt I've been at the recent consultation events and going to the one in Mayford this evening. It is clear that many local people are unhappy with the plans - the flats are a complete overdevelopment and don't find into the neighbourhood.

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

Make sure you share your views on the proposed @wokingfc #CardinalCourt & Stadium plans. Whether positive or negative, they need to hear your voice: https://t.co/jgvwwvSYZV #NoCardinalCourt

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

@Razedabode12 But where’s the guarantee that will happen? As part of the current proposal there’s nothing mentioned anout potential investment plans for new income. All future income could be paid out to Directors etc.

[Ridiculous Idea @NoCardinalCourt]

There’s no need at all fro a stadium this size. Especially when there’s no clear plan for any direct investment in the team - which obviously plays a more pertinent role in future success. There’s no fan base to support this!
