In 2019, Current MN House Member @LaurieHalverson received at least $250 in campaign contributions from the Minneapolis Police Officers Federation. Data: https://t.co/J9wxuBtw8k
Residents of District 51B (Eagan & Neighbors), please reach out to @LaurieHalverson and let her know that #MPD money has no place in our politics. #DefundMPD#NoCopMoney
Thank you @sd40dfl for standing with us! We are excited to see this money getting redirected to @CEAP_MN.
"it is abundantly clear that the policies and positions of the Minneapolis Police Federation and its inflammatory
leader are in direct conflict with our values."

@NoCopMoneyMN Thanks for bringing light to these donations. @sd40dfl has donated the money received and posted the following statement
https://t.co/ZOOE94UFTI
To be clear, this is $14K that has gone to the DFL house caucus.
The MPD union alone gave @mnhouseDFL $9250.
They gave the republican side, @MNHRCC, $8000.
"Listening" is not enough this time.
@mnhouseDFL: you can send a concrete message now. Redirect the $14,750 you accepted from MPD's union and the FOP since 2016.
If youโre a non-Black elected official & your one stated course of action in response to all this is to โlistenโ, you werenโt listening before /you arenโt doing your job for our communities. No speeches. Nobody wants to hear that. Use your power to actually take $ away from cops.
THANK YOU @LaurieHalverson! You are the first leader to respond to our call, and it means the world to us to see a @mnhouseDFL member standing behind their words. We hope your leadership inspires more officials to commit to strategies that keep MN communities safe. #NoCopMoney
We will continue to call on all elected officials to make this small gesture, and redirect all police campaign contributions to community rebuilding efforts. Police money has no place in our politics, especially now. #NoCopMoney
@IndivisibleMNLo Please help us hold @MinnesotaDFL to its pledge of action. One idea: the @MinnesotaDFL & members could redirect all โญ๏ธ$88,000โญ๏ธ they have received from police orgs in the last 5 yrs, and send it to communities of color seeking to rebuild. #NoCopMoney Data: https://t.co/J9wxuBtw8k
Please visit this interactive map to find out which reps have accepted campaign contributions from police orgs. Friends please retweet ๐ซ#NoCopMoney https://t.co/4MKqqYFgnF
>>>Side thread: It is fascinating that #MPD contributes to campaigns of house members OUTSIDE Mpls & metro area. โญ๏ธTake home message: ridding metro communities of police violence requires solidarity from #GreaterMinnesotaโญ๏ธ
In 2016, @mnhouseDFL member @JulieSandstede received at least $750 in campaign contributions from police unions and lobbying groups, including $500 from MPD.
Residents of 6A (Hibbing & neighbors NW of Duluth): stand with us and tell @JulieSandstede that MPD money has no place in our politics. #NoCopMoney
