A lot of the time, when someone says they don’t like a certain veg, they’ve only ever had it out of season or overworked in the kitchen. Good produce, grown and harvested at the right moment, doesn’t need much interference a bit of heat, some olive oil, salt and pepper
Garlic standing proud through the frost.
This weather isn’t something garlic just tolerates. The cold period signals the garlic bulb to divide, allowing it to form properly into individual cloves later in the season.

Every growing season brings a quiet surprise.
This year, for me, it’s these Oxhella carrots. 🥕
When you peel them, the texture is almost like an icicle firm, crisp, and incredibly fresh. Packed with flavour, they’ve put on such good size that you rarely need the one.
Moved our Rainbow Chard from our no-dig beds into the greenhouse for winter. 🌈🌱With a bit of shelter, we’ll harvest small but colourful leaves all season.
Chemical free, soil first growing even in winter. 💚
