🚨 UPDATE on the Pleasant Hill R-III teacher case (just outside Kansas City):

The October 2025 Heartlander News article names teacher Mark Amos in allegations of ongoing harassment and inappropriate conduct toward student Alex McKee at Pleasant Hill High School. The family raised concerns about the district’s response and the student’s distress.

An anonymous source close to the author confirmed this is the same Mark Amos now facing the three counts of second-degree statutory rape charges for the alleged 2009–2010 incidents.

The student reportedly faced significant fear and challenges coming forward.
The Heartlander piece predates the February 2026 victim report that led to the current charges.
