I personally feel every first son has a blessing on them that I can’t explain. But if they really push hard, they’ll easily break the generational curse and take the whole family out of the trenches. They have an inbuilt ability to make things happen.
1. Separate your savings from your spending money.
If everything stays in one account, you will spend it without knowing.
2. Don’t save where you can easily withdraw.
Remove ATM card, remove the app out of sight, out of mind.
3. Reduce impulsive spending.
Before you buy anything, wait 24 hours. Most times, you’ll realize you don’t need it.
4. Track your “small small” expenses.
Data, food delivery, (POS charges) these tiny things finish money fast, always collect your change.
5. Don’t live above your income.
Cut your coat according to your pocket. Social media is not real life.
6. Have another source of income.
In this economy, one income is not enough to save consistently.
7. Use cash for market runs.
Transfers make you overspend. Cash helps you stick to your budget.
8. Set a monthly savings target.
Your mind works better when you have a fixed number to hit.
9. Cancel subscriptions you’re not using.
Netflix + Apple Music + Showmax + Spotify? Pick one.
10. Get an accountability partner.
Having someone check on your progress makes saving 10x easier.
