London Marathon 2025
I am incredibly excited to be signed up to the @CAFOD team for the @LondonMarathon next year.
I've volunteered for many years and had the privilege of spending a summer working in Ethiopia with the @DaughtersofChar.
If there is anything you can give, please do so here: https://t.co/51ndgDC9TP
We’ve had to come to the pub.
We need to trust the process…
But it’s the emotional connection built with many members of this team through the adversity, through birthday/mascot experiences, @JunioBlues2 events etc.
The boys feel like they genuinely know them.
Got to be honest - it’s getting tough with the boys at the moment… just told them about Ralphy and we have one who is angry and the other who is upset.
Think @JuniorBlues2 needs one of those old school grief hotlines!
I've had a lot of tweets asking the same questions so copying this over from the Q&A on the Echo website last night: With Collin and KAF, yes I think they might leave. As far as I'm aware nothing has been decided but I wouldn't be surprised if they left. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the players listed on the website as in negotiations were to move on this summer.
Another hard one to take… made T feel like the most special boy in the ground at his first game.
Always grateful to @apriljlsmith for setting this up.

@JuniorBlues2@GusScottmorriss Ah Gus - you’ll always be an absolute legend in our house! Joseph is adamant that you should be back playing for England… still wears his kit with pride as he knows a real England player! Thanks for all the memories.
Thanks for the memories Gus. Got a feeling what happened the last couple of seasons was somewhat special and may never be repeated - the goals, the connection… but also recognise that careers are short and you need to try playing higher (and for more money!)
🚨 Southend United Competition Time!
To celebrate the FA Trophy win I'll be giving away a pair of Shrimpers prints to one random winner

Southend United’s contract situation this summer really highlights the scale of the job now facing the club hierarchy.
A large chunk of the current squad are out of contract following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, including senior names such as Gus Scott-Morriss, Nathan Ralph, Jack Bridge, James Morton, Tom Hopper, Harry Taylor and Josh Walker.
Harry Boyes, Ben Goodliffe, Leon Chambers-Parillon, Sam Austin and Slavi Spasov remain under contract until 2027 but the reality is this summer presents Southend with something they arguably haven’t had for a long time… a clean slate.
The loan situation also plays a major role. James Golding, Noah Mawene and Alfie Massey are all due to return to their parent clubs.
Meanwhile, both Harry Cardwell and Andrew Dallas have already been released by Forest Green and Barnsley respectively, meaning both situations are now firmly in Southend’s hands.
It is widely expected Cardwell will become a permanent Southend player again this summer, while the door also appears open for a potential move for Dallas should the club decide to pursue it.
It’s also expected the club will trigger the option on Charley Kendall to extend his stay beyond this summer.
Supporters may not want to hear the word “rebuild” after a season that ended at Wembley, but that’s exactly what this is shaping up to be.
The positive for Southend is that it arrives at a time where the club finally feels like it has proper structure behind the scenes, a Director of Football in place, flexibility within the budget and an opportunity to build a squad that fully fits the next era of the football club.
