@WeirdNuclear@T_P_Anderson@DelusionPosting My grandfather was in the pacific theater. He was on tropical islands and then Japan at the end. The greatest generation. Wish they were still with us.
@DrugThemBones@T_P_Anderson@DelusionPosting Well she didn’t get herself pregnant. Her husband has some agency over his body and their family planning. He’s not a sperm machine. I would never facilitate my husband doing anything I thought wasn’t in his long term interest. But every family has to make their own decisions.
@DrugThemBones@T_P_Anderson@DelusionPosting Couples make choices together. Her husband should encourage her to make choices that are good for her, and her family now and into the future. Six kids in 10-12 years is safer. The longer they live the longer their kids and grandchildren will have them in their lives.
@VienneryX@T_P_Anderson@DelusionPosting And I’m saying a baby every other year instead of every year is safer for women and babies. Women and infants died during or shortly after birth a lot back then. Childhood mortality used to be very high as well. We’re lucky to live now. I’m for women having as many as they want.
@WeirdNuclear@T_P_Anderson@DelusionPosting That’s an anecdote. Data says that having children back to back lowers lifespans across populations. Your grandmother was exceptional. I’m glad for you, and your family. Look up the medical data yourself.
@VienneryX@T_P_Anderson@DelusionPosting Men live longer lives today too. We know more so we can do better. Our parents and our children can live longer healthier lives.
@T_P_Anderson@DelusionPosting Having a baby every year without recovery will be really hard on her body. It may shorten her life, and increase her risk of heart disease. It also increases risks to the baby. Most women don’t ovulate for months after birth. Lactation usually lowers fertility, natural spacing.
@Bob_Beaman@I_amMukhtar Tell me you’ve never had sex without telling me you’ve never had sex. No normal people think butt stuff without at least a brief discussion and lube is normal. A bleeding asshole isn’t normal. You wouldn’t like it if someone surprise pegged you in the shower.
@Cangelosifan@tsmbuck@JJNY516@BrianAtlas Are you talking about borderline personality disorder or bipolar disorder? Because a manic episode or drugs explains lost time, a personality disorder doesn’t.
@JJNY516@BrianAtlas It’s BPD. My high school boyfriend was one of the 1/4 of people diagnosed with bpd who is male. It’s bpd I recognize it. The gaslighting, volatility, I hate you- I love- I’m done- never leave me bullshit. I wish I could say not even once, at least it was just once.
@AnnCoulter When they count unwanted touching I’m shocked it isn’t 9 in 10 women. I personally don’t know any women who haven’t ever experienced a handsy guy.
@mikeyymac95@lindsayro10@I_amMukhtar I agree it’s really naive or retarded. But why? Why is it stupid for a woman to invite a strange man back to her room? If she thought he seemed cool and just wanted to hang out? Is it because we can’t trust men to take no for an answer when we’re in an isolated location?
@bitzpleasure@jessesingal I’ve read the statements. They won’t get a conviction. They won’t likely win civilly either. There’s nothing to do about it, it’s going through the courts, as it should. Us talking about it isn’t relevant to the outcome. Meantime actual news is ignored.
@bitzpleasure@jessesingal We cant reliably predict who will be a rapist, so the system is reactive rather than proactive. You can’t educate everyone out of antisocial behavior. Every society has some violent people in it.
@bitzpleasure@jessesingal It’s a terrible trauma to be raped, I’m not dismissing that. But our culture does prevent it to the degree it can. Only 6% of men commit all rapes. With 3% accounting for the majority. They’re just bad men. You can’t educate them. They just need to be locked up.
