@Mandatoryfunday I’ve been out for 14 years and I still can’t find a purpose. The guys I served with and were close to are either dead or unreachable. It’s the feeling of loneliness that gets me personally. I can be in a room filled with people and still feel lonely. 😔
Long story short, I lost my passion. I don’t want to play anymore. After all I’ve sacrificed and given for the band, for the music, it’s been unappreciated and I can’t bring myself to go through it again.
I quit my band yesterday. For the longest time, I used to have fun playing guitar. I would foam at the mouth for any opportunity to play. Now that we’ve been getting recognized and invited all over to play, certain egos started taking over and just made it not fun anymore.
I’ve never played with someone who just randomly decides one day to start acting like a douche canoe and doesn’t stop. I’ve known this person for years and he managed to crawl under my skin and it’s tainted music for me probably forever now.
I mean, nobody really cares either. Playing guitar was one of the few things I really enjoyed doing for the last 21 years of my life, it was one of the few outlets I had to keep my head level and blow off steam. Worked wonders for my PTSD keeping my hands and brain busy.
