fairness for high skilled immigrants act, now EAGLE act, they’re all designed to FUBAR the system. Don’t fall for it. These bills will hurt our system.
@marcorubio Venezuelans of miami. Marco is saying legally paroled migrants entered by methods contrary to the law!
Also- you’re definitely using a zoom filter here. 🤣
🔥 @DropkickMurphys to MAGA Republicans: “You’re being duped by a bunch of grifters & billionaires who don’t give a shit about you or your family… if you call yourself a Patriot and you spout that election-denying shit, WAKE THE FUCK UP!” 👏🏽 🇺🇸
Too many hardworking families are stuck in limbo waiting for their green cards. I’ve introduced legislation with @SenatorDurbin to provide relief to families and workers facing green card backlogs, and I'll keep working to support immigrants and fix our broken immigration system.
@DrPleural@criticaltnk …You take current system and FCFS it and you will A) hardly improve your status b) inadvertently block many pathways. Change is needed but intelligently unless you’re intentionally trying to break system so it can be fixed which hurts many. Fix it right thats what I want.
@DrPleural@criticaltnk Again. Welcome to the lecture. And this will be the last of this with (may god have mercy on the souls of your patients). No - I want the opposite! You’re ignorantly trying to block pathways….1/x
@DrPleural@criticaltnk No skin off my back, honestltv. Best of luck. I sympathize. I’m offering a solution that serves all. You want to fight it and try to get all and fubar the system, best of luck. All it takes is stricter renewals of H1Bs and the system auto corrects.
@DrPleural@criticaltnk There’s no generalized scenario. They’re all unique and it’s tiresome with limited characters. If H1B was the only path then youd already have the solution I’m suggesting. Allocate x # of eb GCs and FCFS. That should make everyone’s happy. What’s the problem.
@DrPleural@criticaltnk As I’m sure you’re aware it’s a complicated system & there are tons of unique situations and paths. I’m not opposed to FCFS as long as it’s an independent line just for H1Bs with a preset allocation of EB GCs. Why would you all not want that unless the plan is to break the system
@mdhevaraj@DrPleural@criticaltnk You missed my point though. There are more H1Bs applying for GC each year than there are GCs. Primarily b/c H1Bs don’t count derivatives in its numbers but they do count derivatives for EB. The benefit (I know it still sux) is H1Bs can cont. to renew when others would be deported
@DrPleural@criticaltnk Well again for various reasons. But one would be, they’re not employees, they’re investors. There’s other reasons but the ping is, cutting off all EBs for backlog is not sensible
@DrPleural@criticaltnk ..give them their own line that’s FCFS. Such that, these other avenues that (to me) are important, don’t get deported, that’s it. And don’t count derivatives (just like H1Bs) against that total number. Understand what I’m trying to say (not being condescending).
@DrPleural@criticaltnk There are a lot of scenarios where one adjusts and it’s a unique path/unique scenario. It effects a lot of FDI. If you earnestly want to know you can find out. That being said H1B is vast majority. As long as H1Bs have their own allotment (and make it a significant number)..
