We have officially started the bootcamp today in Enugu. 40 engineers are participating.

These children are going to learn how to make drones from scratch to help tackle security challenges and also speed up hospital medication delivery.

They will also learn hardcore Robotics and AI, Automechanics, Bricklaying, Welding, and Electricals.

This will be the beginning of a new direction for education in the South East.

We are raising real problem solvers with real skills, not a theory-based generation without skills.

The future is exciting!

Religion must never become a weapon against our unity.

The words of Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir in this video are deeply troubling gaskiya. Shouting Muslim-Muslim referring to others as infidels and using language that creates fear, division and intimidation is not the kind of message Nigeria needs from religious leaders.

What Sheikh Jingir said is his own position and his own political expression. He does not speak for Islam, nor does he speak for every Muslim.

Islam does not teach intimidation, hatred or the humiliation of people of other faiths. The Qur’an says: “Lakum deenukum wa liya deen” — “For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.” (Qur’an 109:6)

Nigeria is not a Muslim nation, nor is it a Christian nation. Nigeria belongs to all of us. We're all family.

Politics should be about competence, character, capacity and the ability to deliver not about who is Muslim or Christian, North or South, Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba.

If someone is competent and capable of serving Nigerians, let Nigerians support that person freely without religious intimidation or blackmail.

Our faiths should unite us as human beings not become weapons for political division. Nigeria needs unity, tolerance and competence not religious manipulation.

Let love lead.

I just learned this morning that Bryan Eze qualified for the International Economics Olympiad in China to represent Nigeria, but the Ministry of Education said that there is no money to sponsor him.

They approached the Ebonyi State Government for support and the government said that they are not interested. So he missed it.

I became curious after he won the Sterling Bank National Online Maths Quiz yesterday.

This is heartbreaking.

The American Presidential System.

According to Google, about 40 countries worldwide practice the American presidential system. No. European country does. Some search will throw up Turkey and Cyprus, but those two are fundamentally in Asia. Turkey especially is a transcontinental country with just a fraction of it in Europe.

The big boys of Asia like South Korea, Japan and China do not. No European country does.
Statistics and data show that majority of the most prosperous and better governed country in the world do not practice the American Presidential system. This is a screaming statistics. We cannot ignore it.

Considering the humongous amount of money wasted every year on elections that leave Nigerians more divided and bitter, considering the cost of governance over a bloated cabinet and appointments, considering all the political parties bickerings and lack of stable principles, policies and ideologies, the refusal to embrace alternative system of government like the parliamentary system practiced in the UK, which doesn't carry these baggages is a sign of National mental disorder, and I refuse to be part of it.

It is not a fluke or accident that most prosperous countries of the world adopt systems of DEMOCRATIC governments that operate lean governance size and decentralized power. If we adopt the British parliamentary system, we can even change 3 prime ministers in a year with zero cost to the nation and governance.

Some years back, Fareed Zakaria did a comparative analysis of the American elections and most of Europe's and the verdict is that America's system is unnecessarily expensive and wasteful.

Here is Nigeria trying to copy an American glamorous and expensive political lifestyle it can barely afford, this is the loudest definition of audio lifestyle. Even the American presidential system we copied, we are not even practicing it the way it is practiced here. Ours is more of a monarchy with Emirs, Kabiyesis and Igwes masquerading as presidents with too much concentration of powers.

These kinds of analysis should be championed by our students and professors of political science in our universities. They should have a national platform to agitate for these systemic changes. These are the conversations and arguments we should exert ourselves as Nigerians; systemic changes.

Restructuring Nigeria is the way forward. Changing from this wasteful presidential system to a parliamentary system is not pipe dream, it is the kpim of restructuring.
