Today, I heard the sad news of his passing.
Although we never met in person, it was still a small but meaningful connection online.
I would like to remember him always.

I do not remember exactly when, but I came across an NLP researcher from Japan (as I inferred from the name) on Twitter, and I followed him out of curiosity.
Later, I heard that he was unwell. Since then, I quietly followed his updates and kept him in my thoughts.

@RuoyuSun_UI A similar issue occurred with our ICLR submission. In the meta-review, the AC said that our work lacked novelty due to a related arXiv paper (dated October 12, 2023). But, our ICLR submission was made earlier, on September 22, 2023. Result? rejection...
