No Tax Oregon, @Real_EdDiehl, and @RepYunker Launch No Tax Clawback Referendum.
Hours after Governor Kotek signed SB 1507 into law, petitioners filed to refer the $300 million tax increase gut-punch to voters.

Ready to stop the clawback?
No Tax Oregon is helping to refer SB 1507–Salem’s $300 million tax increase gut-punch to small business and working families—to the November ballot.

@oregonfreedom_c and @NoTaxOR have proven their ability to defend Oregon taxpayers when Salem imposes its will on their wallets. SB 1507, which essentially amounts to small business robbery, was passed with very little public scrutiny. We intend to give voters a say on whether their taxes go up. This bill will be on the ballot in November alongside the same politicians who think they do not have to be held accountable to the people of Oregon.
SB 1507 stole Oregonians’ tax cuts. It’s a gut punch to Oregon’s small businesses and working families.
Yet, Governor Kotek is delaying action in order to silence the people of Oregon.
Enough is enough. It’s time for her to make a decision on SB 1507 so Oregonians can make their voices heard.

OFC Executive Director Nick Stark was recently quoted in an Oregon Public Broadcasting article covering the hearing on SB 1599.

OFC Executive Director @RealNickStark submitted written testimony in opposition to 2026 SB 1599, which would move the referendum on the transportation tax and fee hikes from the November ballot to the May ballot.

Salem wants to steal your voice again.
SB 1599 moves the gas tax referendum to the May elections which have lower voter turnout.

Governor Kotek and her legislative allies simply do not want to be held accountable for not listening to the People. They believe they know what’s best for Oregonians’ pocketbooks, and they don’t want to be told they are wrong. The voters should vote in November, but whether May or November, voters will not forget the attempts to silence them.
