Springfield, VA - @VSPPIO and @FairfaxCountyPD responded to a report of a heavily intoxicated male chasing two children on Port Royal Rd. It was determined that the male was their father, and they were fleeing because he was driving while intoxicated. Suspect was arrested.

Fairfax County Police remain on scene of an ongoing armed barricade situation on the 6300 block of Wingate Street in Lincolnia, Virginia 🚔

An adult male is holed up with a knife inside of a residence, which is otherwise believed to be empty. Officers continue to work on negotiating with him, heading into the midnight hour.
