You can't shoot down the VAT hike and not come up with a better solution. Ask yourself how do we turn things around for the poor tomorrow...? If u look at it in that way, the VAT makes sense. Our economy only grows if we all have MONEY!

Our economy only grows when more people have money to spend. The problem is that people don't read enough. S.A needs an immediate and long lasting solution to keep the grant going. The answer is increasing VAT. we have tech innovations, we export agriculture and precious metals.

All you opinion leaders are wrong about the SA Vat hike. Vat is the biggest source of government revenue. The grants allow the poor to participate in the economy. We need the grant, so we need to increase VAT. We have already done everything else to grow the economy.
