Last year at AHEA I posted about an Alberta Author writing children's books. I decided to highlight another booth this year! Board & Quill builds lessons based around family boardgames that a lot of homeschoolers already play. If you homeschool and game - maybe give it a look!
@teresaann42@Ronicountrysoul Try to have a decent conversation with these folks... haven't found one who can maintain civility through dissagreement.
It's sad, really.
@teresaann42@Ronicountrysoul This is the first positive looking post from the Forever Canada side that I've seen. The rest have spewn hate and vitriol.
Kind of refreshing.
Wont sway me, I need to see constitutional changes to want to stay, but nice to see a post that wasn't just hate from your side. ♡
@teresaann42@RobertDoel76@Ronicountrysoul You realize the Laurentian Elite (public sector) get paid private sector tax dollars...
If I work all day and get paid, then you take money out of my wallet. We go out to eat and we split the bill... we're both paying with money that was mine.
Even though we're both paying.
@teresaann42@Ronicountrysoul Judges apply the law based on how they interpret it.
You and I can read the same article and interpret it 2 ways, judges do the same with the law.
Their worldview influences this no matter how hard they try (if they try) to be unbiased.
Yelling doesn't = right.

@teresaann42@Ronicountrysoul It's not really about equalization, thou I get that is a loud talking point.
Albertans are just so different from the Laurentian Elite , and we're tired of being treated like a colony instead of an equal partner. https://t.co/uCWO9klx1G

They’re doing it again, dividing Alberta patriots with noise!
Stop falling for it.
The Alberta independence movement must stay Politician-Free.
This isn’t led by career politicians who sold us into the New World Order.
It’s led by Albertans — real people who actually love this province.
No one is coming to save us.
We save ourselves.

Quebec sovereignty vs. Alberta sovereignty
Quebec wants special treatment, and threatens independence, but not a clear independence, a special "Sovereignty Association". National outpouring over how special Quebec is. Loses independence referendum. Gets special treatment.
Albertans want equal treatment, and threaten independence - on a clear question, by the people, not the politicians. Grasroots, not politically led. National outpuring of scorn telling us to know our role. Clear petition for referendum on independence gets thwarted by the courts. Our request to ask a question of our population becomes instead asking the population if we're allowed to ask them that question. National outpouring of scorn continues. No suggestion of ever getting equal treatment or addressing the iniquity. Massive campaign of fear, uncertainty and doubt designed to demoralize. You can't leave, we won't let you. Stop whining, you inbred ditchbillies. You're already rich, how dare you complain.
So far, this movement toward an independence referendum is nothing like Quebec. Let's hope the outcome is different, too - and Albertans succeed.
Every 2 to 3 months, I’m legally required to repost this meme.
Liberal-appointed judges, corrupt chiefs, and a federal government desperate to keep Alberta under control can all try to interrupt the party.
But they can’t stop the music.
@nenshi Except unvaccinated people and Albertans who want real freedom.
They can face hate and discrimination. Right?
'Don't deserve to eat' you said if I remember correctly....
February 1, 2018 (Thursday evening), at a town hall meeting in Edmonton, Alberta.
I remember this moment very clearly.
About Trudeay, I thought "That's it, he's done".
I was wrong.
Looking back, I should have realized this was the beginnng of the end for the country.
Evening friends
The news today was not unexpected, everything is against our families & Albertans survival in general.
Please remember corrupt chiefs or a liberal judge in not our First Nations & Metis brothers and sisters.
We all stood shoulder to shoulder for each other. Including you. And we still do.
Everyone be cool. Just keep moving forward. Talk to everyone you can.
Apparently there will be a very large rally coming soon. If you want freedom, hope & a prosperous future be there. A positive & peaceful show of force is required.
Alberta, our families & Mitch need us to show up. So lets do that.

Albertans can be pissed off today
Please remember, Alberta Independence movement is;
Grassroots and peaceful
non-partisan, with no single leader
The Progressive Left in Canada are dirty

@sjredmond If you went into that area with that attitude, you wouldn't last 2 days.
Just calm down, put your elbows somewhere comfy, and watch us from Toronto. Have a pleasant evening.
I didn't want to make this post...
I didn't want to let the secret out. But the time has come. Stick with me to the end, it's worth it...
A referendum is not an election.
You know how ridings are split up? You can have 1 constituency with 99 conservatives to 1 liberal- and then 4 more with 40 cons to 60 libs...
Though you got 259 conservative votes to 241 Liberal votes... The score is actually 4:1 in favor of the Liberals.
That's the result of the first past the post electoral system: you can form a majority government with a minority of support in the right regions.
That doesn't apply in a referendum.
1 Albertan = 1 vote- and there's no way to mitigate that. You get a voice whether you live in Calgary or Chipman.
Nobody can use a mathematical formula to silence you. You will be heard.
What does this mean? All those rural town coming in at 95-98% support for independence... those votes past 50% aren't discredited. They're heard.
In other words... The polls are all reflecting wrong because you'd have to poll a biased population to get a real result- and the whole basis of polling is that it's supposed to be unbiased to be good.
So, why would I hold on to this and not point it out sooner?
Well, while this is good news for us... it lets the other side time to cheat & respond to the issue. And I largely think they haven't even done the math yet... and they don't realize what a lock this vote is going to be.
But if I could have one message to relay for Oct 19, I want you to know that your vote counts. We need your vote whether you live in Fort McKay, Fort McMurray, or Fort Saskatchewan- or anywhere in-between.
This is a time of hope, when we will have our shot at what the last 100 years has desperately wished for.
