Gandhi's "Spiritual Wife" – The scandalous infatuation with Tagore's niece Sarla Devi Chaudhurani
1. Many know that Mohandas Gandhi slept naked with underage girls, including his grand niece, to test his celibacy. The 78 year old Congress leader destroyed the lives of these innocent teenage girls. That happened in the 1940s and is no longer a secret. Less known is his infatuation with a married woman two decades earlier.
2. In 1919, at the age of 49, Gandhi developed an intense, emotionally charged relationship with Sarla Devi Chaudhurani that shocked his inner circle.
3. Sarla Devi, born 1872, was the niece of Rabindranath Tagore. A fiery nationalist from Bengal who promoted women's education, she initially favoured violent resistance to British rule. Married to Lahore-based Rambhuj Dutt Chaudhary, she was educated, independent, charismatic and politically active in Punjab.
4. They met when Gandhi stayed at her Lahore home after her husband’s arrest for protesting against the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of more than 2,000 innocent civilians by Brigadier Reginald Dyer. Gandhi was dazzled. He saw in her a “great shakti” (divine feminine power) – beauty, intellect and leadership potential that Kasturba, his devoted but traditional wife, lacked.
5. Gandhi’s letters to Sarla Devi reveal deep infatuation. He wrote feverishly: “You still continue to haunt me even in my sleep. No wonder Panditji (Nehru) calls you the greatest shakti of India. You may have cast that spell over him. You are performing the trick over me now.”
6. Gandhi called her his “spiritual wife,” described their bond as a “spiritual marriage,” and signed off with growing affection. He saw her as a key partner to lead India’s women and the freedom movement.
7. Gandhi travelled with her, quoted her writings in Young India, and openly admired her. To his friend Hermann Kallenbach, he framed it in lofty spiritual terms – like his scandalous experiments in self-control. But contemporaries saw a midlife emotional crisis.
8. It caused uproar. His son Devdas, secretary Mahadev Desai, and Congress leader C Rajagopalachari opposed it strongly, fearing damage to Gandhi’s image and the party. Pressure mounted. Plus, Sarla Devi was strong-willed, not easily moulded into Gandhi’s ideal protege.
8. By mid-1920, Gandhi called off the friendship: “The inner bond shall remain, but the outward expression must cease.” The intense phase lasted roughly a year. Their families later connected through marriage (her son Dipak wed a Gandhi relative).
9. Gandhi was no freedom fighter. He was in all likelihood a British plant, though actual evidence of that may never surface as the colonial government burnt vast quantities of papers in the weeks leading up to the British exit from India. But there is plenty of corroborative evidence - every action of Gandhi protected the British soldiers and administrators from the anger of Indian revolutionaries. Gandhi never spent a day in a real jail. The British hanged thousands of revolutionaries but Gandhi never got a scratch on his body.
10. That left him free to practise his crackpot theories like extreme nonviolence and 'celibacy.' His nonviolence hurt Hindus and led to India's Partition. His 'celibacy' scarred several young girls for life.
Rahul Gandhi's grandfather was fighting alongside the Nazis while serving in Mussolini's army, even as RSS leaders Dada Naik, Ramdas Rampure, Tukdoji Maharaj, and Hemu Kalani willingly faced the noose in the fight for India's independence. No wonder he hates the RSS.
My views:
Abhishek Banerjee is the first person to use an umbrella at night when it isn’t even raining.
He is using it to protect himself from eggs.
Those who claimed that the BJP would ban fish are now boycotting eggs. 😂
A Hindu woman shares her shocking experience in Malaysia with a 9yr old kid coaxing her to cοnvert to Islam. Hindus busy teaching their kids secularism and bhaichara while their kids are rαdicαIized in the womb!
Maruti launched an E85-powered WagonR, but the price tag makes absolutely no sense. It costs ₹85,000 more than the regular (E20) version.
Why would anyone pay a premium upfront just to get higher daily running costs?
When you pay extra for an EV or a CNG car, it is a smart move because the fuel is cheap and you save money in the long run. The E85 WagonR does the exact opposite:
E85 fuel looks great at the pump because it is roughly ₹20 cheaper per L than regular petrol. But then, ethanol has less energy than petrol, causing the car's mileage to drop by a massive 30% to 40%.
Because the mileage drops so drastically, you end up burning way more fuel just to travel the same distance. The fuel discount is instantly wiped out, leaving you with a higher daily driving bill than a standard petrol car.
So, who is this actually for? No buyer is going to hand over an extra ₹85,000 just to get terrible mileage, spend more money every single week, and deal with the massive headache of hunting down rare E85 fuel stations in India.
Now the Buddhist temples in Japan have started burning down one by one, just like the churches in Europe.
As soon as Muslims started immigrating to Japan, the Buddhist temples started catching fires, similar to when Muslims started immigrating to Europe & their ancient Churches started burning. What a coincidence
Mahua Moitra is saying that she will take legal action if any one throws eggs on her.
Months back, she had said that Eggs is the source of her energy, yeah Eggs.
what changed now?
Dr. Sejal Pawar is a shining example of pathetic social justice rules in India.
She took admission in MBBS under ST category which in other words means her family’s financial and social status in Indian society is suppressed.
Does she look in anyway that she can’t afford to pay full fee and compete with merits than taking help of reservation crutches.
Indian politicians are ruining this country’s talent with such brazenly corrupt and unethical policies.
The West Bengal Government’s decision to officially observe Paschimbanga Divas on 20th June is a welcome acknowledgement of a defining moment in the state’s history.
The Left and then Mamata Banerjee’s long-standing objection to commemorating 20th June as West Bengal’s Foundation Day has been a denial of historical fact. The truth is that on 20th June 1947, legislators from the non-Muslim majority districts of undivided Bengal voted decisively for partition and for these regions to remain with India. Had that historic decision not been taken, the entirety of Bengal would have gone to Pakistan.
This outcome was made possible by the determined efforts of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee and countless others who fought to secure a homeland for Bengali Hindus in the aftermath of the horrors of Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots. The creation of West Bengal was not an accident of history; it was the result of a conscious democratic choice.
History cannot be erased for political convenience. Recognising 20th June is not about partisanship, it is about acknowledging the sacrifices, struggles and decisions that shaped modern West Bengal.
Marking 20th June as the Foundation Day of West Bengal is an epochal civilisational and ideological moment for the BJP. It is a reaffirmation of the vision and struggle led by Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee to secure West Bengal’s place within India and protect the cultural, civilisational and democratic aspirations of its people. By recognising this historic day, BJP honours the forces that shaped Bengal’s destiny and preserves a truth that cannot be erased or rewritten.
She is Divya Thapa. She is performing Namaz and uploaded it to Instagram simply because she has a crush on Pakistani 🇵🇰 actor Bilal Abbas.
What's more, other 'Honda Shernis' are applauding her in the comment section.
I have never seen a Muslim girl performing Hindu prayers (puja) for a Hindu actor and sharing it online.
Such 'Honda Shernis' play a major role in the rise of Love Jihad. 😐
Meet Sejal Pawar :
> Belongs to ST community.
> Scored 406 marks in NEET.
> Took the reservation quota.
> Went into Government medical college
> Started playing with the dicks of dead bodies.
> She even told this proudly to everyone.
This is the reality of reservation.
Do such people deserve a medical seat ?
Blood boils man.
About a month and a half ago, Zafar Sareshwala expressed a desire to meet the Prime Minister, accompanied by a delegation of 14 Muslim individuals...
Instructions were issued for Zafar Sareshwala and his Muslim delegation to meet with National Security Advisor Shri Ajit Doval instead... (There is no need to specify whom Mr. Doval represented; he holds the rank of a Cabinet Minister and is considered number two or three in terms of power and influence.)
The delegation, comprising 14 prominent and highly influential figures, spent 100 minutes openly articulating the grievances, expectations, and demands of the Muslim community; Ajit Doval's staff took note of all the demands and complaints raised by the delegation... (Link below)
1. The delegation complained about the treatment of Muslims by the Chief Ministers of Bengal, UP, and Assam... Issues such as the use of bulldozers, the removal of—and repeated notices regarding—allegedly illegal shrines (mazars) and mosques, and incidents of mob lynching were raised.
2. Discussions were held regarding the declining (?) facilities and educational standards for Muslims, as well as employment opportunities and the implementation of the Ranganath Misra and Sachar Committee reports (although it is worth noting that BJP governments—both at the Centre and in the states—have implemented the Sachar Committee's recommendations far more effectively than the Congress governments ever did)...
3. This Muslim delegation demanded the establishment of 500 separate educational institutions for the community along with financial assistance; according to Zafar Sareshwala, Ajit Doval suggested that the community should open these institutions, while 'we' (the government) would arrange the necessary funding from the country's ten largest business houses... (see link)
4. Zafar Sareshwala's delegation surely must have urged the government to consider the issues surrounding Waqf Boards and the cases pending in the Supreme Court with a sympathetic approach...
5. The demand for including Muslims in state cabinets was undoubtedly raised as well...
6. The same applies to the matter of recruitment into the armed forces..
As Zafar Sareshwala mentioned in an interview with Arfa Khanum Sherwani (link in the comment box), he met 'Sahab' (a reference to a high-ranking leader) following this meeting; notably, just a week later, Sareshwala held an extensive meeting with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma! He is also expected to meet Suvendu Adhikari soon... After all, who would refuse a meeting with someone who enjoys the Prime Minister's patronage?
Zafar Sareshwala may have also played a role in the establishment of Lucknow's largest mall—the Lulu Mall—owned by a Kerala-based Muslim businessman residing in Dubai; Sareshwala has frequently met with Yogi-ji as well as the owner of Lulu Mall—photographs of these meetings are available in the media...
An example of the impact of these meetings is the announcement made the day before yesterday regarding the provision of a monthly allowance and Ayush cards to all Muslim women in UP who have been victims of 'Triple Talaq'. ...There is even an expectation that new facilities for Muslims will be announced in Assam and Bengal...
Meanwhile, look at the state of Hindus: we are content merely when a bulldozer runs over the odd illegal mosque or *dargah*; social media-savvy Hindus keep sharing those clips and singing praises of Modi and Yogi—or swooning over Modi offering a chocolate to Meloni—getting completely captivated by such trivial theatrics...
Some are self-satisfied, dancing and chanting "Radhe Radhe"... others are busy bathing, feeding, and putting 'Laddu Gopal' to sleep... Hindus seem unable to let go of any such futile activities; at the very least, they organize the cooking of 50 kg of *khichdi* to feed anyone and everyone—worthy or unworthy—at the crossroads for free...,
Whenever foreign delegations visit Bangladesh and want to see its culture, the govt quickly takes them to old temples and tries to brainwash them saying “Bangladesh is a country of harmony and multiculturalism.”
But the reality is completely different.
Bangladesh is a country where minorities have no real right to practice their religion freely.
Look at this chhapri. He is the 'headmaster' of a primary school in Nadia, West Bengal.
He allegedly used to arrive at the school around 9:30 a.m., even though the school closed at 10:00 a.m.
Guardians of the students caught him, tied him to a pole, and demanded action against him.
In February 2026, guardians had also accused him of stealing Mid Day Meal funds, but no action was taken at that time.
