Last week I presented my research (Assessing EF2 Tornado Impacts on Vegetation Cover using Super Dove Satellites) at the 16th Annual @NipissingU Undergraduate Research Conference.
After the incredible performances we’ve seen from our men’s and women’s hockey teams in Milan, all of Canada is cheering them on as they go for gold.
To help everyone get in the spirit of the games, I’ve directed the Minister of Education to make sure all Ontario students are able to watch the remaining Team Canada hockey games that take place during school hours, starting with tomorrow’s game.
Let’s all come together to cheer on Team Canada as they bring home Olympic gold!
For every person Finland has, USA has 60. For every youth hockey player Finland has, USA has nine. For every indoor rink Finland has, USA has seven. Finland is an incredible hockey country.
Today is 2 July 2025!
>Exactly 9,131 days ago, the year 2000 began.
>Exactly 9,131 days from now, the year 2050 will arrive.
It means that this is the EXACT Halfway Point.
And after today, we will be closer to 2050 than 2000.
June is #NationalIndigenousHistoryMonth! This is an important time for us all to honour and celebrate Indigenous peoples and our cultures, histories, and contributions. Throughout National Indigenous History Month, we encourage everyone to show your support, amplify Indigenous voices, and to learn about the profound histories, cultures, and ways of life.

We will be sharing more resources and learning tools throughout the month to offer reflection and action.
How will you work to advance #reconciliACTION this month?
One of the most important lessons running taught me:
How to work hard for a very long time…
For something far in the distance.
You don’t build a great Track season in May.
You build it in the cold, dark months no one sees.
Delayed gratification is one of the most transferable skills in life.
Running teaches more than fitness.
It builds two skills we desperately need today:
– The ability to be alone with your thoughts.
– The ability to connect deeply with others.
In a world dominated by screens and distractions, that’s no small thing.
When it comes to recovery, there's a lot of junk that doesn't work. We reach for a super supplement, instead of what actually works:
1. Sleep ~8 hours
2. Hydrate adequately
3. Socialize with friends
4. Have a way to decompress
5. Eat enough real food
6. Slow/easy exercise

Today is #ElectionDay! Voting is not just a right — it's a responsibility. Countless people fought for the freedoms we have today. Make your voice heard.

The beauty of track and field is there's no faking it, no hiding behind teammates on rough days. You're exposed, vulnerable. It's you, alone, out on that track.
This sport will humble you, even those who are among the top in the world.

Our brains are fried.
You try to read a book—can’t focus.
Sit with loved ones—your mind drifts to work or notifications.
Feel a buzz in your pocket—but there’s no notification.
We’re not just distracted. We’re digitally disoriented.
Here’s what’s going on—and how to push back
40% of two-year-olds now have their own tablet.
That’s a problem.
Just ask elementary school teachers. Behavior issues are through the roof. And devices are a major reason.
Why?
We’re training kids to soothe via devices.
We are detraining their ability to cope and handle their inner world.
