@sean_nixon@EssexBirdNews Hi Sean , I have been sent your great Photos of white FC at Abberton . Have you submitted it to the BTO? If not I can do so.
It was tagged on 14/6/25 near Somerleyton from a brood of 2 . Its siblinghas also been seen recently.
Labour are backtracking on a plan to help save birds: by blocking a new rule that would make developers put a £35 nest brick in every new home. They think it'll help win them votes - we need to show it would do the opposite. Sign the petition https://t.co/1PXWCzE4T4
Lead has been poisoning our wildlife and communities for decades – but now we have a chance to turn things around.
With a crucial review into lead ammunition finally at an end, will you join me in calling on @SteveReedMP to help make lead history? https://t.co/gFOfJ3yVW5
The first record of 1 of this years #MarshHarrier chicks in #Spain. Ringed and tagged on the #Norfolk#suffolk border, a ♂️bird from a brood of 3. He had 2♀️siblings. His mum, also tagged, is now in her 10th year and has always stayed local to her natal area. #migration@_BTO
This is T/Assistant Chief Constable Matt Longman and he is coming under attack from former Defence Secretary Ben Wallace simply because he is doing his best to tackle illegal fox hunting.
RT this post in a show of support for Matt’s work!

Remember this madness? We must never forget just how much influence the shooting industry wields in this country.
The grouse shooting season gets underway tomorrow.
It is on us to expose the cruelty and destruction that underpins this sick pastime and end shooting asap
Please retweet if you want the Labour government to do its utmost to restore the Freedom of Movement that was robbed from us by the worst abuses of democracy in modern British history.
@MarkDowie It’s not simple leucism. I have tagged several chicks like this and the white feathers are very brittle and weak. See how the tips have already broken off . I don’t think the feathers last to the first moult so they don’t survive
Pressure is mounting on @SteveReedMP and @UKLabour as they are set to allow up to 28,000 badgers to be culled despite a manifesto pledge to end the "ineffective" badger cull.
Please RT widely as we continue to ask that the badger cull ends.
For only 3rd time saw one of my Swifts fledge this morning out of 150 or so over the yrs. 20mins later a pair of Hobby turned up and started hunting the Swifts in tandom. No idea of outcome but 2 together can be impossible to escape but they rarely seem to catch anything alone.
