The outdoor community just lost a huge advocate — but it’s probably not one you picture yourself fighting alongside in the name of conservation.
In the name of racial justice, we ended Karen Culture. The effects have been disastrous🧵
@mattbramanti@uncledoomer I did this in debate class. Teacher thought I was a smartass and made me argue the earth was flat. Was flabbergasted that I won by reframing the argument that none of the class could personally verify earth’s roundness with 100% certainty. EZ
@travis4nh We have established legal precedent in the United States that parents of under age criminals can be punished for the actions of their children. We should be applying this to the parents of every hoodrat gangbanger.
@wrong_speak Setting aside moral arguments, assisted suicide creates perverse incentive for the party paying your medical bills (greedy insurance, gov’t, etc.) to kill you, rather than fund more expensive treatments.
@RealPostFolder There used to be a game show where the repo guy would ask you trivia and if you got enough right, he’d give you enough cash to get the bank off your back for a bit. 3 wrong answers and you got towed.
Questions were easy and there still were not a lot of winners
@TimothyJones92 I can see stepping in if this was your friend or something but this is a stranger. Realistically, if he’s the type who hasn’t already worked this out on his own, he’ll be in denial and don’t listen to you anyway. Just invites drama
@KMan50000@reddit_lies If you create a system where healthcare providers can euthanize you, then you incentivize payers (read: greedy insurance companies and the government) to kill you if care becomes too inconvenient or expensive
@xwanyex You can actually spot this in news reporting too: notice that every Trump victory is framed as temporary, every legal challenge (even ones that wind up getting overturned) are characterized as permanent victory.
“Appeals judge rules Trump Tarrifs can stay—For now”
@mitchellvii Alternatively it’s possible that the cheat wasn’t enough. Or that certain political figures (e.g. Shapiro) did not want to help because it hurt their long term trajectory
@JamesSurowiecki It’s a legal issue. You can’t technically compel people to show receipts at a grocery store that is open to the public. Costco is a “club” and as a member you agree to subject to the receipt check. Otherwise they kick you out.
@WarPath2pt0 Had a fuel line rupture under the hood. Sprayed gas everywhere and left me stranded roadside. Very glad nothing caught fire.
Every time I get the faintest whiff, I panic-check my fuel level.
@9mmsmg There’s no such thing as mid-grade gasoline. Stations have a tank of low and a tank of high octane.
Pressing the button for mid grade blends the two.
@supertrucker@SenatorBanks My proposed solution:
If a company is caught using illegal drivers, the cargo is seized and auctioned
If the cargo is personal packages, the company is instead charged with theft
If the cargo is medical, the charge is elevated (something like malpractice)
@FenixAmmunition If this were the case, liberals would benefit from disenfranchising them because married women skew right, while unmarried ones skew left
