@kirawontmiss Lmfao you thought you ate. Euphoria is not for everyone for sure, but there’s no denying how great season one was and the level of talent, creativity and craftsmanship displayed.
@Nahu_nava20 "5 canciones conocidas", ahre. De por sí tiene 9 canciones a más de 1 billón de streams en spotify y tres álbumes de platino que es indicativo de tremendo hit. A fin de 2023 andaba 4° en el mundo. Es de las artistas más grandes de los 2020s.
@trialweee@SeamieOShea90@dom_msmsmsm Heathcliff's villainy is calculated (not to mention how he holds Nelly captive and beats young Cathy). He spends decades seeking revenge, the other characters are bad in traditional ways. He's a monster whose origin is explicitly tied to the racialized abuse he suffered.
@trialweee@SeamieOShea90@dom_msmsmsm Yes, representation is indeed different from acknowledgment, but Brontë acknowledges racial diversity to explain the source of Heathcliff's trauma, and how he came to be the detestable person we later know. And I do think he is worse than the others.
@trialweee@SeamieOShea90@dom_msmsmsm Besides, Heathcliff is a fucking despicable asshole in the book, so it's not like she put him on a pedestal as an ideal man.
@trialweee@SeamieOShea90@dom_msmsmsm If you call acknowledging the existence of people of different races and heritage progressive, I guess she was! Brontë chose Liverpool for a reason, it was a global port full of people from all over.
