@Ellunes@MacAlgoTrader In America we have appeal processes for incorrect calls. We don’t just let a corrupt refs walk all over us with bullshit suspensions
@MacAlgoTrader Thank you. This is what has been bothering me about this whole situation. Aren’t you supposed to beat a team at their best? Does the rest of the world not look at this complaining about having to face a team at full strength as soft?
Getting the ruling correct is more important than following rules or tradition. Sometimes governing bodies need to be corrected and improved…

Belgium lost the appeal of Folarin Balogun's eligibility tonight.
However, they said they "reserve all options" if he's on the team sheet tonight 😳
Uh oh.

FIFA has DENIED Belgium's appeal against Folarin Balogun's return and will remain eligible to play for USMNT Monday night, per @JacobsBen
The request was deemed 'inadmissible' and the ruling will proceed as is.
I get why everyone is upset about the process but it seems ridiculous to appeal to instate an incorrect call and force a team to wrongly play without their best player. It feels like once a correction has been made it would be insane to go with the error
Belgium has been granted the right to appeal against FIFA’s decision to suspend the one-game ban handed to USMNT star Folarin Balogun, less than 24 hours before the team’s round of 16 match vs. the United States, per The Athletic.
The Belgian federation said it was “astonished” by FIFA’s decision to suspend the ban for a period of one year and the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) responded that the move was in “direct contradiction” of the competition regulations and said it is exploring “all potential options.”
Basically confirms that Briere has structured the deal to be heavily front loaded as a poison pill to ANA.
This now becomes more of a question on if ANA's ownership is willing to part with that much money up front in the next year.
Things are getting interesting. @FlyersKnitty
